  1. One year i put Mylar all over the walls and roof when pulled it down 12 months later it was black with mould like i had never seen before that bad and i lived in the desert it can't imagine on the coast my walls were a health hazard black mould any every inch of Mylar really unhealthy environment and i had 4 big fans running and windows open as privacy wasn't a problem

  2. I keep bottles of water in the freezer and place them in front of fans but once summer hits i only veg in summer as it hits over 120 Fahrenheit and k did flower last year and used 6 strains and the oil just doesn't have it frozen bottles help in the afternoon and I can't grlj6at night and air conditioning was just not worth it for small area i tried strains from ho the areas and they just fox tailed and had very little oils just very dry buds if your desperate go for it but if you want quality it was not for me and the smell just wasn't there like cooler picks i even composted most as fluffy fox tail crap is not for me around my around it hits mid 120 farinheite or 48 to 50 Celsius and that is without lights running and heat coming off fans and air-conditioning is just to experience to bother with just dl more in winter and run clones outside in summer spray for bugs and bring inside for autumn

  3. Bit late here but one option i used for a little while to great success was putting a mini-freezer in the room, drilled a hole in the side to insert about 2ft of copper coil pipe with the rest outside and use silicone to seal the hole up inside and out. Coil the rest of the copper (should be meters on the outside) into a spiral and put a fan behind it.

  4. Buddy of mine made a bad ass Humidifier x AC with a swamp cooler and a water chiller that he made from an old refrigerator. He lives in a really dry spot and needed to cool and add humidity. It worked like a charm! 105⁰F outside and his grow room with 6 hps lights was running low to mid 70⁰s
    Never discount redneck ingenuity 😂

  5. I like my lighting cycle to be 10 hours on 14 hours off in flower. Still getting very good yields and I am more stable than a 12 on 12 off light cycle… Especially for stuff I i’m growing for the first time. it simply works for me, despite the many arguments backed by the Almighty Bruce Bugsby video enthusiasts.Cheers 😎

  6. A "swamp cooler" works off the exact same principle as the dude Pigeons was talking about with the tote full of ice and a fan. It's called evaporative cooling. I have a nice sized swamp cooler that works good enough now and it's the start of August

  7. I have those ac Infinity butt chuggers and also the VivoSun drip irrigation system but I don't have the knowledge/confidence to use either of them 😂. I've run into issues with the ac b.c.'s with the soil not drying back ever for 2 weeks and couldn't feed synthetic nutes. The instructions said they wouldn't wick up properly. Stopped using them and went back to hand watering. I need help mastering the drip irrigation system…..😢

  8. I grow in my basement and I live in a hot and highly humid area in the summer. I'm in last week flower/harvest rn. I'm having to run a portable ac in the lung room and a swamp cooler blowing straight into the tent thru a slightly open corner of the small door that's raised off the floor 2 ftish. Seems to work good enough to get the environment to high 70's most days and maybe low 80's during heart waves. Not perfect but best I can do. Hopefully my terps don't suffer too much.

  9. Compost teas. Strengthen the soil which in turn strengthens the relationship your plant has with the microbes that inhibit that soil. It’s these localized microbes that play a large role in boosting plants overall resilience to environmental stresses such as heat and better defenses against pests. Largely over looked but a healthy, local population of microbes in your medium will do wonders for your plants ability to thrive.

  10. I use box fans, ceiling fans, central air unit in lung room, but I have to use a dehumidifier to get humidity below 60. I just wanted to share, It’s easy to make a ac with a 5 gallon bucket, freeze a gallon jug of water, cut a hole in the side of the bucket to add duct from bucket to tent, cut hole in lid of 5 gallon bucket smaller than fan you are using, place fan so it blows over the ice, plug fan in and you have a cooling system.

  11. it doesnt take much keep a clone going, i used to keep small containers in a box with 2 cfls and an axial fan back in the day w no humidifiers no exhaust lol it was fine

  12. Electricity in the uk is ridiculously expensive so cooling isn't really an option if your goal is saving money. Timing is key. I hope to harvest just before the peak of summer, then just grow a single plant during the peak. Staying in veg as long as possible, using techniques like mainlining to slow her down further. Hopefully the worst of the heat is over by the time im forced to flower due to the height of my tent

  13. Its funny in winter/spring Im running heater and humidifier and now in the summer Im at 85-90 and 70 humidity so I need to find cooling and dehumidifier. I grow in the basement too and its usually cooler but with this tent and lights the room is so warm compared to even the rest of the basement. Im about to switch to flower so I need to get it closer to 50%

  14. CLTV if you were a grower that was serious, you would already have all the dehumidifiers and controllers in a room set up. You wouldn’t be running tents trying to teach people the wrong way how to grow. I’ve been in Michigan My whole life been grown for 28 years and you my friend have much much to learn about growing weed correctly🤷‍♂️

  15. Im high but how about a tent large enough to hold the beer refrigerator, leave the door open and put it in a corner of an 8×4 (?) tent . Con’s: 1) the beer 🍺 is warmer than I like 2) the light 💡 stays on with the door open 🤷🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️👨🏼‍🌾

  16. I live in So Cal where it doesn't get hot but in the summer is upper 70's low 80's 1 mile from the ocean. my tent will run 83-85 round the clock. I do go lights off from 3p-6p, but humidity jumps way high then, so may just go back to 24-0 on the lights
I mostly have to deal with humidity where it's constantly 70-80% outside.
I use the AC infinity terraform all in one, and recently switched from dehumidifier to AC and am running a constant 79 deg and about 55% hum. VPD stays in a range of 1.1-1.4 and I just finished the 2nd week of flower (autos). I know its expensive but for me it's worth it.
