  1. My Stash now looks like hashish …. Clumped up bad. I've had to add hot water to it, to be able to use it, but that probably kills off the mykarisal fungi benefit. 🙁 Help! Needs a new formula that does not solidify!
    Great stuff otherwise!

  2. I liked when you guys were talking about ground covers. You mentioned when using cardboard to cover the ground around your plants. I been using spun glass filters you can get at any box store. ( AC filters. Green color) they allow more air flow and still cover to hold more moisture. I cut them out like you do with the cardboard. And they last up to a year. Also you don’t have to remove to water your plants. 64 years young. Boy I could tell you guys some story of grows that I did in the late 70 that would make laugh. By the way you guys do a killer show for the young folk that want to learn how to grow and enjoy own flower. Thumbs 👍

  3. Im topping my babies tonight and im going to try to clone some and plant them directly into the ground. Definitely going to use your egg carton suggestion.

PS… do yall have a video about planting in the ground?

  4. One of yall should start growing via hydro. Thats what i started with. Yall helped a lot but i have to go to multiple different sources to learn. My first grow was a success beyond my wildest dreams, so thank you 🙏 but yeah… hydro 😉

  5. I always see this Mr grow it dude bragging about reusing plastic cups for years. It’s all good recycling and all but after a while plastic starts to leach. Keep that in mind viewers.

  6. Loved Pigeons comment about metal coat hangers, that’s all I use to stake my plants lmao also I use them plastic trays that go in the bottom of dog kennels, pick em up at rural king for $10-$25 depending on the size

  7. i stole my gfs sewing clips, they are small transparent, and different colors, i use the colored ones to mark plants, (strawberry cough is red, Deluxe sugar cane is Purple) also use them to keep track of what week the plants are in flower. but the newest hack with these, u can tie some string or anything to them and now u can clip these to your plants for tie off support. 100 for 7$ amazon.

  8. I drink a lot of coffee so I save the red Folgers 9.6oz containers. They’re a little bigger than solos and the lids can be used for water runoff trays for smaller containers… like solos. Only challenge is when flipping the cup the rootball doesn’t slide out as easy so I use a utility knife to slice down the sides and spread it open. Tip… since the plastic is thicker on coffee containers poking drainage holes is easier using a dab torch to heat the tip of your screwdriver. Especially with solo cups they can be stacked in multiples and a hot screwdriver slides through like butter

  9. At 71, I can spend all the time in the world tweaking my grows. Been growing since the late 70s and still learning things from podcasts like the Stash and Build a Soil.

  10. I use Hawaiian punch bottles with the top cut off as my pots less plastic in the landfill. Since that's what I drink they perfect for my space with that square shape I can fit alot in one spot. 30+ plants in a 3×2 giving me an oz a piece ill take that.

  11. Hangers for structuring your plants. The flat long side of the triangle is perfect for making rows. The hook is perfect for holding a can. The coke can holds water to adjust the weight/pressure applied to the branches. (I'll make a video showing off this technique)
Beach sand for a mulch layer offers slow-release calcium and silica. It also prevents Fungus gnats.
Peat Pots can be used to trigger autos to flower faster if you want to harvest quickly.
Gatorade bottle caps can be used as plant risers if you collect 4-5. (reduce reuse recycle)
Hydrogen peroxide is a growing hack. It can disinfect roots with root rot. It can be used when diluted to germinate old seeds at higher rates.
Stash blend is a solid hack. It contains beneficial myco, bacteria, and humic acid for chelation.
Fabric pots: Can be used to strain/buff coco. Allows oxygen into the root zone for cellular respiration. (The reason roots need oxygen is Cellular respiration)
sewing thread is what you called yoyos is also great to tie branches up when it's too heavy.

  12. I’m working on closing my loop. Feed all waste from my garden to my worm bin, as well as kitchen waste. Never seen them so fat nearly every worm in the bin. I’ve only been growing for 6 months, I would think a minimum of 2-3 years of feeding them the plant would maybe get the results I’m after.
