4. Everybody wants the fast ones, but experienced drivers want the slow ones.

   What the younger people don’t understand is that driving fun is accomplished by taking a car to it’s limits. You cannot take a modern high performance car to it’s limits on public roads. They are just too fast. All you can do is punch the throttle once in awhile. For those that truely enjoy driving, you want a car with low limits that feels like you’re going faster than you are.

   You want a car you can redline 100 times in 10 minutes on public roads. In a modern m3, you can see redline maybe 3-4 times in 10 minutes.

   You want a car that when the offramp recommends 30mph, taking it at 50mph is insane fun. An m3 would need to take it at 80mph.

5. Easy nobody will for your upgrades on your car but they will pay for a badeg

8. Two things to go by in the car guy world. 1. Never buy a car off first impressions alone. 2. Never buy a car you are always scared will break, not because of inconvenience but because of repair bill anxiety

You cant compare this to a Hyundai or Toyota … even if they have more feature you cannot compare gimmicks for gimmicks with a BMW there is other important structural and mechanical areas where that money went including the engine. You can get a ferrari without lane assist because money is spent elsewhere

21. “Spoiled rich kid car”. Yup. Always. Great point about the 18” wheels. Less curb rash, slightly faster acceleration. BMW badge makes up for better options from Toyota, Hyundai, and Acura. lol. Great comparison.Yup, I’ve had a couple of 80K plus cars and you’re right about the stress of daily driving relatively expensive cars. It can be nerve wracking. Whereas any sub 50K is much more relaxing. Props to the track driver. Brave dude driving like a maniac while driving relatively tall sedans.

27. I sold my F30 328i a year ago after having it 7 years and 100k miles. I actually still miss it and only sold to my brother in law’s brother who needed a car after getting totaled and funding the last of my wedding.

Just saying that before this huge screen and thefacelift, BMW had all the buttons and they were very high-quality with an aluminum cover 🙂 Adaptive cruise control is an extra charge, as are every different handle, light, seat, material, etc. I have 2021 318i and its still quite enjoyable everyday car.
