Join Kyle Kushman in the latest enlightening episode of Grow Weed at Home, as he sits down with the esteemed John Bayes, widely known as Green Bodhi. With over two decades of rich experience in the cultivation and consulting spheres of the cannabis industry, John brings a unique perspective to our show — blending organic cannabis cultivation methods with profound Buddhist teachings to form what is now celebrated as “Intentional Horticulture.”

Episode 22 delves deeply into how intention and mindfulness can be interwoven with the art of growing top-tier organic cannabis. John shares his extensive background that includes not only pioneering the nation’s first certified organic dispensary but also impacting the industry through his advisory roles and political consultancy from Oregon to Washington DC.

Kyle and John will explore the nuances of maintaining boutique-style quality while discussing John’s role in shaping significant legislations, such as Oregon Senate Bill 460 and Oregon House Bill 2198, and others that have shaped the legal landscape of cannabis cultivation for both medical and recreational use.

As they discuss John’s commitment to the highest level of organic inputs, they will also touch on his contributions to genetics and breeding, and his interactions with politicians like US senators Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, illustrating the breadth and depth of his influence.

This is an episode tailored not just for those eager to enhance their grow skills, but also for followers of cannabis industry trends and legislation. Tune in to glean wisdom from one of the giants in the field, and perhaps, to transform your own cultivation practices by planting seeds of intention.

  1. I get the organic vs synthetic yada yada. But imo once you bring it inside and control everything its no longer truly organic. Ya your input is but thats it.. great show stay blessed stay breezy

  2. I feel honored that I came upon this video today. To listen to It. I'm getting high right now and on nice organics. I just listened to it. it so great. Chance favors the prepared mine.

  3. Why is every breeder in the US called John and has the same voice as notsodog? ^^ would be funny if the complete cannabis scene would just be one elaborate troll with millions of masks, profiles and helpers to get the show going.

  4. Been a grower of GH fertilizer for 30+ years now after your last episode I flipped to organic and the difference in the plant itself growing a little slower but looking way happier I can’t wait to smoke some keep up the good work my friends….

  5. My buddy bought some GMO weed seeds😂 if you plant a garden you have to get GMO free seeds I guess or organic we’re screwed they put fluoride in the water. It’s only for your teeth you’re not supposed to swallow they don’t want us to get our pension.😢 and we are being replaced by a foreign workforce I don’t want poop smell in my house😂

  6. Hey, when you trim your plants after you hit them with the UVB for 10 days for a half hour in to the last of the light cycle, only the light by itself. And you trim all that hash off get a hot bottle of water with the parchment paper and make some quick hash take that quarter ounce that is cured and put it in the jar with that hash😮😮😮😮😮😮

  7. I really do enjoy growing but this is all too deep for me. I talk to my plants and yesterday I even played some tunes for them. It was weed growing songs from Jamaica. I just wanted to get my plants in the mood to grow big and strong.

  8. I agree with you..! The herb that I’ve grown for myself is always more desirable to me because I know what went into it. One of my mentors has been legally growing it for me for years. He does this because it’s been their dream job since they were 14 years old. Well over 30+ years, and they’ve done it by always making their own soil. It makes you cough, sure but, mostly while you smoke it, not like how some of the dispensary herbs have me coughing like I did when I smoked cigarettes 20 years ago.
