Cut to heart of the conflict and focus on making your mother feel cared for while bulldozing through everything else. If you have to lie and nod your head while lying about how you'll consider her irrelevant perspective on your love life, do so. Just genuinely care for her while bulldozing her, without directly telling her she's wrong, when she doesn't mind her business and I imagine she'll be contained, placated & less quarrelsome. 25. I tried to be Poly, was fun at first doing group things & going out for double dates with my Meta's. But started to learn in a poly relationship bot everyone has the best intentions for you & group mentality takes over very quickly. I don't consider myself Poly anymore because of how two sided most these relationships can be, don't get me wrong. There are polycule's that are okay & last but those are very rare & even in those cases group mentality will get you.

It seems like the caller felt guilty of how she treated her brother, and then subjected herself to relationships where she also felt like the 3rd wheel and emotionally neglected like a form of self-imposed punishment. I believe that's why both of those topics were covered back-to-back and that she imposed being misunderstood in her situation subconsciously as a form of connecting to her brothers life situation and become closer to him through experiencing a similar struggle.
