26. It's NOT funny that older people are deceived! The reason older people fall for this is because years ago, NEVER did you get lied to about any kind of your account information or transactions! This just never happened! Today, and for many years this does and has been occurring which just shows you the difference in morals of people then and morals in people now!

Then I watched the podcast again with my grandma so she could see in real life how scammers operate. She was so surprised, but she finally gets it! The interviewer was really out of touch with the emotional side of losing everything, if you're going to do interviews like this, you really have to be able to put yourself in others shoes to understand, before you interview, otherwise it just comes across as low emotional intelligence/oblivious/privileged regardless if that is really true or not. Love to see Pierogi do interviews though, inspires people to fight back against these monsters.

34. I used to work with a lot of people from Kerala in India. They said that there are over 100 languages in India (the internet says over 1200). They had to learn English in school and they speak very well (but they learned UK English, which is somewhat different than American English).

38. 2:11:32 as someone who used to practically live at whatever my preferred club of the moment was, or in my earlier days at "raves", going to clubs or "music festivals" nowadays is a huge disappointment. No one is dancing, or talking to random strangers. They are recording it on their phones. If they dance, they face the stage and not a circle of fellow party-goers. It's weird and totally impersonal.
