In this video, I grow Banana Daddy R1 from seed to harvest using the fully automated VGrow Smart Grow Box. Controlled entirely through an app, this small grow system lets me manage lighting, feeding, and airflow right from my phone. Along the way, I dive into key grow topics like coco vs. soil, plant lighting, pistil development, and how I handled nutrient lockout caused by salt-based fertilizers.

  1. Good video. One drawback: you shouldn't remove the leaves below the topping during the growth phase (only if they're diseased); these leaves generally promote growth and photosynthesis better. You should only remove the leaves below the topping if the leaves are heavily shaded, i.e., before flowering (Lollipop).

  2. Do you always do 50 day cure? Im just a personal home grower but usually start cracking in around 4 weeks. 1 jar at time though – the others stay curing for potentially another 1-4 months. Interested to take some notes next harvest but curious to your opinion on that 50 days
