  3. Praying leaves are not looking for more light. They are reducingthe surface area! They are fine tuning the surface area so they get exactly what they want. When leaves are flat they are looking for more light, they are maximising their surface area to get more light. When there is ridiculously too much light they will then claw downward as a defence measure. This is one of the most common myths, with one channel in particular commonly referred to as being responsible for this specious logic. So from a botanist, my 2 cents worth. 😊
