Saying chat gpt is making us dumb is like saying calculators are making us dumb. It really depends how you use it
Very forward-thinking. Thank you, ColdFusion.
love it 04:35
@grok
No, it's another extension to reach for greater heights. The invention of the calculator has also not made us dumber.
programmers and developers 😅
I alone will become smart in this fucked up world
People who can't filter slop won't advance.
Bruh i cant even watch creators who use ads. The channel is so hypocritical, claims to be against the system but forces ads on his channel every damn 2 mintues. Find another way to get cash cause eventually you ad creators are going to eventaully die out. Sorry gotta unsubscribe, feel like I outgrew this channel,
On calculators in math education: in some countries (e.g. China), calculator use is strictly restricted in schools and is banned in almost all exams. Students are expected to carry out 99.9% of calculations with pen and paper only. Only a few subjects in secondary school math like statistics allow calculator use because it is just too impractical to calculate entirely by hand. Such a practice makes piles or even mountains of blank paper, usually in very poor quality, a necessary back to school supply. When I was in school, we used the wrong side of used exercise books, since most of them were intended to be written on one side only.
The results are mixed though. Yes, students get good marks in standard testing in terms of basic arithmetics. But because calculators are banned in exams, important subjects like statistics are almost never tested. So even someone with a high school diploma (12 years of education) may have difficulty interpreting charts in news reports from English-speaking countries, because some symbols are just never taught at school. And unless the student goes on to study IT-related field in higher education, they will have zero sense of data.
Yep. Texas Instruments started it. ChatGPT will finish us off.
Ironically I got an ad for an ai app before this video
Yes, i have seen ALOT that people do not use "." and "capital letter after punctuation"
So they have texts that have several sentences without "." and capital letters of first word. So the text is impossible to read and follow what they are saying.
The more sentences the harder to read. I am not a grammar guru , but using "." after a sentence is a must cause it is hard to understand the text othervise.
The elite wants us to be dumber and or make us die by our own hands. That is why this is happening.
What if ultra smart LLM’s never existed? Because the only AI people are talking about are LLM-related. What about the other AI’s?
The only reason people are talking about this now in the decade 2020’s is because of the invention of ultra smart LLM’s like ChatGPT. But in reality, AI has existed for a couple of decades now and no one (as far as I’m aware) thought AI to be a concern until just now in this decade. In fact, I think I’ve seen a lot of people on this internet more pessimistic about AI than the ones who are hype about it. I think this pessimism is good in raising awareness. What do you think?
If AI is making dumber, then we wouldn’t be smart enough to study programming to build more AI’s 😎. Also if we’re getting dumber, then people wouldn’t think of things to invent and technology will become stagnant😎
It's not "Ai" that's making us dumber but it certainly ain't helping
loved your take on this. at work, experimenting with AI tools is severely encouraged that we even have our own statistics on how many times an employee used it making us so reliant to AI.
Properly used, AI can make you sharper and more intelligent.
Human has flaws and AI based on Human so i don't expect much 💀
