  1. 39:42 start lifting weights at the gym simultaneously employing a counting calories strategy to all food and beverage intake. That is you must determine the total calories of whatever you're going to eat or drink, then summarize the total (consumed calories) in a 24-hour period. Have that number be at either maintenance, light weight gain, or light loss. Weightlifting entails going to the gym for a period that you're going to have to build up to, of being able to do 20 sets of 8 to 10 reps sets at an intense enough weight that you are doing eight to ten reps per set (with 1 to 3 reps in reserve). You should do different muscle groups on different days, muscle groups recover at different rates. Intermix the rate so that you are always working on a recovered muscle group. This will adapt all (a vast amount of) nutrients to the repair of muscle and greatly change your body outlook over a few years.

I have employed this strategy for 48 months and my profile picture is an update picture from about a month ago.

  2. Never leave your drunk friends alone. If they get combative or pissed off, call their parents if they are close or even the cops. They might hate you for the night but will thank you later.

  3. Condolences to Annie and your late friend's family…these kinds of violent crimes towards to girls and women, especially when alone and in vulnerable physical conditions, happen more often than our society cares to admit. Our criminal justice system needs major overhaul as does the dismantaling of underlying misogynistic attitudes in society. Shame on that university for not having improved campus security, and student life resources that explicitly address drinking and drug issues, and aspects of what the caller says is a toxic culture.

  4. Zimbabwe has a "Friendship Bench" to be a bridge to mental health services. I think Lyle is showing how valuable it is to just have a listening ear, and that it doesn't always have to be a professional.

  5. Listen, Geck! Just do intermittent fasting, it's not really harder.. Lost 30kg (66 pounds) doing that for a while.
Start skipping breakfast and your body gets used to it. Cheers.

  6. Alot of ppl don't want to believe that their friends and family are using drugs without their knowledge. The first callers friend did not get assassinated with fentanyl, she overdosed. Nobody wanted to believe Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston or any celebrity that died from drug use really did it. But it always turns out that there was no conspiracy, the person was a severe addict and took the wrong dose. It's tragic, but reality is tragedy.

  7. The gecks ability to take the heavy subject of that girl who’s friend was killed, and transition into the friends relationship and “vibing” with her partner…he is unmatched. carrying the convo into a fresh energy and new subject for the stream…It is amazing 😻 not to discount the importance of her call, or the conversation in its totality. However it still is a predominantly humorous steam. The geck has Balance, geck balance

  8. Idk what this will be about but I also lost my best friend thanksgiving day 2020. Lucas. Intelligent to a fault. Alcohol is a dark road. So are opiates. I've been clean from fentanyl since Jan 18 2024.

Oh and 2023 on 10/27 (MY FUCKING BIRTHDAY) another best friend died.

    🎉🎉🎉… Life😢

  9. I loved Gecko venting. I would say fuck calorie counting and just make sure you go a little hungry and resist temptation more often than not. It's good for ya physically and mentally.

For vices in general for me what's been helping a lot is sticking to just one. 2 is too difficult to juggle and can easily derail the whole thing.

  10. its incredible he got time in jail at all, sorry to hear it isn't going to be enough. and it'll never be enough overall if you know what I mean.

  11. I had a friend (and her mom) who was murdered by her girlfriend's dad. It fills you with such incredible rage. I'm very sorry to hear about the first caller's story.

  12. The second caller is so wholesome, he's right about eating with intention. My partner bought food for us last night and I cooked it for us. Cooking for them and being able to put a plate in front of them made me happy.

  13. How about this advice: don’t go underage, drinking and partying when you’re in college. High-risk behavior leads the problems like this. I’m deeply sorry for your loss and her families loss as well.
