31 thoughts on “The Importance of pH & EC/PPM! – From The Stash Podcast Ep.159

  1. If you keep your PPM between 800-1400 and your PH 6.5 you'll never fail….and all you need is lemon juice and baking soda to adjust. Stop buying all these products, farmers have farmed for years without Bro Science products… Figure out your solution mixing rate and then stop testing, the reason everyone mucks up growing is all the fussing they do.

  2. Ph is very importsnt in orgsnic gsrdening , when i use my well water which the ph varies uusally way to high , i get lockout purple stems , stunted growth massive yellowing and dying leaves if i use ph friendly bottled water , my stems are green, plant is green , the only change is the ph of the water

  3. Biggest problem inhave by fsr is nut lockout , water quality issues, which turn my stems purple and then the plants stunted and basically eat themselves to death if not fixed, the only water i csn gurantee right now to be good is bottled water and rsin water colled only from a bucket, not under gutters thats contimated water . Ph pens too inconsistsnt to use or ones ive used , works for a couple times then eventuslly it will be off and ruin the grow . Any tips Mi well water btw

  4. I ck my ppms and ec well not so much. I just think one is a different expression of the same thing. If that makes sense. It’s like I think my water was reading 8.0 and I know that’s incorrect. I checked it using the ph paper and compare it to the color on the paper. It wasnt 8.00 ph.

  5. It's almost impossible to make a deficiency video. Solute to you guys if you do. But you can tell people what a phosphorous def or tox looks like And that covers how 90% of how other deficiencies look, and it is Rarely anything to do with Phos.😶‍🌫️🫣.. I like what Jeremy said, Identifying a deficiency It's hard( Specially for new growers who were always overwatering😮(😊).take care of what is causingthe Def. either way mad love for all "tree" of yall for The tips and tricks. Minus Rob that is, he just there bc they couldnt talk Goblin into Being sober enough to be on the show… JUS PLAYIN again Sry I suck at being "punny"😅 and You're cool too rob.😉

  6. Great one here boys! i think we have all been through a pen not working correctly and yellowing the plants or worse my experience killed 5 seedlings before i realized it was that damn yellow amazon pen…..i grow organic and always ph my water. And i run autos on occasion using synthetic and i ph that as welll… I do not ph when doing outdoor runs with no issues…also rarely get my outdoor to finish b4 catapillers wreck em 😂😂🤬😂 Thanks for these episodes i have learned so much the last few years🤘✌️✌️

  7. Listen I'm a new grower and Definitely enjoy watching and learning more as we go on thru this exciting journey ✨️ but this year 2023 I had a rough time with my dirt in the ground PH it stad 4.8 and 5.6 thru most of my flower stages and it didn't want me to water it as much but by the end of the last 2 to 3 month of flower putting my own worm casting and some biochar and got the best smoke ever the THC level was 20% on all 3 strains and the only thing different was the terpenes and they were 4% to 5% and truly very happy

  8. Hey guys you need to do a tutorial bcuz I've been growing since 09 and never have known anything about what your talking about nor do I have anyway of knowing what your talking about I've never heard about testing the run off please do a tutorial so others can get sum knowledge thanks bcuz I've never tested whatever your talking about and I grow sum nice tasty buds

  9. Y'all really need to talk about the Fentanyl being found in cannabis… Legal growers need to fight back!
Communist China is building illegal grows all across America and poisoning peoples medicine… Not everybody knows a grower.
I've had multiple employers ask me for my cannabis because their employees are getting sick and damn near dying off of the weed they're getting. Last year I took older genetics that I don't use anymore and built a non-profit safe community grow that everyone here can enjoy safely….
    Stay Frosty! ✌😎💨🌱💯

  10. I grow organically in a peat/coco/wormcasting/perlite mix and religiously ph my water to 6-6.5, with 6.2 being my ‘sweet spot’. I don’t ph run-off or the medium, but would do so if I ran into a problem that I couldn’t diagnose otherwise…
Keep up the fine work for the community👍🏽
…Oh yeah…my plants are loving the Stash Blend! 🌲

  11. I totally agree with having meters to check your soils ph as long as you're not stabbing your plants with it several times just place it in 2 to3 spots and also if checking your soils ph using 2 different types of meters are truly a great way and ideal to compare it with and the soil meters are really not as expensive as your nutrients ph testers
