Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced grower, this video will teach you the basics of lighting cannabis without being too scientific.

People always wonder what the best light Set-up is for Indoor Growing but understanding how to use them is absolutely more important.

A lot of beginner growers have trouble understanding PPFD maps and creating the right settings for lighting is one of the most important factors to get the best quality buds. In reality, there is only 2 measurements that matter for any LED Grow Light. We break it down and teach you exactly what is necessary to optimize quality in your cannabis harvests.

To measure light intensity, you need a light meter and the optimal lighting for cannabis ranges from 200 and 800 PPFD. As a grower, your goal is to start your plants off at the bottom of this range and gradually increase it as the plants grow, capping out at 800 around week 6 of bloom.

The exact amounts are listed in my cheat sheet: https://bit.ly/3Yp6E5E

We show you how to take the only two measurements that matter with a light and demonstrate it with the Spider Farmer SF2000.

  1. Well damn I am getting around 1k-1100 at the top of my main cola with the light 26 inches above. The leaves never get over 78 degrees in temp and they seem happy. I have a nice reef tank and try and get all the par I can for the corals (acros) and they change color depending on the intensity but I guess I can’t play that game with flower. Can’t raise the light anymore and my light adjusts in increments of 25% so I don’t know what to do. 75% is not enough par and 100% seems like too much. Do they make light diffusers for our grow lights like they do with the lights? I have over my Reef tank I wonder

  2. Dr. Bruce Bugbee says that cannbis can benefit from up to 2000 PPFD, even seedlings and clones and that height isn't a factor that should be used but rather Heat, and light intensity measurement will determine light height requirements. Higher light requires more nuts, c02, water etc.

  3. you are literally a god for this spreadsheet man, i ordered a 2×4 kit saturday and been researching non stop, going to be my first grow and always wondered like damn out of all these videos youd think someone would put out just a simple spreadsheet and i came across this. This is going to help me tremendously i feel like thank you so much!

  4. I don’t think these numbers work with every led light. I got the sf1000. To get to 800 PPFD the light has to be closer than 16”. To get just 300 ppfd at
16” my light is almost turned up to 80%. I got the Photone app & the defuser. It’s a bit confusing. Maybe I’m not doing it right.

  5. Cancel my last question AC INFINITY Finally called me and told me to purchase a AC Infinity Inline Fan witch I will do in the future. Thank you for all your knowledge and advice. Peace ✌️ ☮️

  6. I have all.
Spider farmer products being controlled by AC infinity. How in the world do you get the inline fan to work with high and low temperature? With the settings of 0-5 min/ max
I can only control my daisy chained lights with that option. AC Infinity told me its not possible! But ive seen your videos, but im new and i can't figure it out. Please help me!
    Peace ✌️ ☮️

  7. I just started growing 4 auto plants in a 4×4 they are 5 days old I have a 150 watt and a 105 watt led in there with them hopefully they turn out good.this channel is definitely very helpful thanks!

  8. He has been helping me with my grows and he knows exactly what to do when I have issues! Without paying for his Patreon, I would be so lost on how to grow and what to do.

  9. Nice one! If a few plants are at 1200ppfd but most of them are at 850-900, would you rather burn the tall ones or move the light up?
If i put them up, the bottom ones are getting 4x less light righ? What's your move in these situations? 🙂

  10. Thanks for that. My light does not have a way to adjust. No knob no switch. I just adjust the height of the light to composite. Sucks cuz I'll get stretching on some nodes.
