1. Did officer Waters pay for all the damages he caused to personal vehicles and the publicly owned vehicles he was driving? I would bet the answer would be no. I would also bet that the tax payers paid for all damages the he caused. If we were cited for causing two rear end collisions our drivers license would probably be suspended or we would have to pay much higher insurance premiums for a year or more.

2. Cops speed, make illegal turns and break many traffic laws every day and are never held accountable.

An MTD computer in a police vehicle is just as distracting as citizens using a cell phone while driving, but police are allowed this privilege while citizens are not and can be fined hundreds of dollars for this distracted driving behavior. Bus drivers are also allowed to use mounted touch screens while driving and they too are privileged to do so. If the roles were reversed this citizen would be going to jail and have his vehicle towed and impounded.

13. 20:20 – More than anything thing else, the offer to contact them by FAX showed the last time this guy was trained. However, this officer told the truth at every point. Shows that he may be a bad driver, but he's a moral officer.

14. I’m typically quick to talk trash about police, but at least this was a genuinely good interaction considering the circumstances. But this officer definitely needs to take some extra driving courses and focus while on the road.

17. I would give officer waters at least a B+ perhaps an A-. Reason i live in ohio and have driven and been in and around Dayton, Springfield, Columbus and Winchester a lot, so my grade is relative to the power ohio gives its officers and their ability to handle it. If i could i would staff my police department with all officer waters clones and gladly spend our tax dollars on new hoods and push bars instead of wrongful imprisonment and death lawsuits. Oh i don't want to forget his supervisor. Isn't it funny with good leadership we see excellence in law enforcement from his officers.

21. Even after the cop admitted total fault, the sergeant was still looking for a way to blame the other guy. He wasn't overboard, but was looking.

23. The copper acted professionally and owned up to his mistake immediately and made sure the other driver was unhurt first. He is to be commended for his honesty and integrity. Well done sir. You are a credit to your uniform and thank you for your service.

27. Distracted driver, great to see him admit it. The thing is it may not have been just geese in the road it could even have been a child that a person had to stop for.

28. I've seen plenty of videos of cops typing on their computer, talking and texting on the phone, talking on the radio et al, WHILE DRIVING yet, somehow, that's okay because are above the law.

29. Cops don't drive cars, they drive motorized battering rams. WE are much more in danger from the cops than the cops are from us.

32. I agree with the conclusion. Officer Waters didn't even attempt to blame the civilian, and that was nice to see. Nevertheless, hitting someone else not even a year later and you start thinking Officer Waters is a screwup.

34. I watched a good five minutes just waiting for a bad cop mode turning in …so refreshing that it did not happen.

35. Take him off of driving duties. He keeps getting into accidents.

36. We’ve probably had that many accidents here because no one moves out of the way for lights and sirens! Seriously, I’ve never lived anywhere (out of 3 states and numerous cities) where the public just blatantly ignores lights and sirens like they do here in Columbus!

One time back in the day, before I got my drivers license, my friend and I were cruising around with a girl my friend knew, who was from the south side of Chicago and doing anything she could to make my friend like her, because she have some major hots going on for him, but he had a girlfriend. That wasn’t stopping her from trying though. I couldn’t stand the girl personally. She acted like she was so much smarter than everyone else and they were beneath her because of it. We got into a few arguments over it. The car she was driving belonged to one of her family members, and they let her borrow it. She was driving extra cautious because of that, but that didn’t matter to the cop who shot out of an alley, going way too fast, didn’t honk, and ran right into the car we were in. The car was what we call a “narc car”. Plain gray, no markings other than the green “M plates”, municipal plates that all city vehicles have. First we were scared to death that we just hit a cop car, but he hit us, and when he said we don’t need to make a police report, that our insurance companies will handle all that, I realized something fishy was going on. I think that he was borrowing the car for date night with his wife, and probably wasn’t supposed to be driving it while off duty, but he was, and driving reckless and ended up plowing right in to us. I realized that was the case when he didn’t want to make a police report and wanted to just let the insurance companies handle everything. Because of that, the actual owner of the car totally got screwed, which might have been his intent from the start. Just another shady cop taking advantage of people.

Cop was clearly not paying attention, I thought for sure cop was going to arrest him for stopping, a girl in Quebec was sentenced to jail because she stopped on a highway to let a family of ducks go by and people on motorcycles werent paying attention and rammed her from behind causing their deaths.
