  1. Things Im glad went out of style: wood paneling in mobile homes, crocheted vests, earth tone everything, women wearing those ugly rollers on their heads out in public, mumus, and those thick white coral choker necklaces.

  2. We had some awful trends in clothing back then, the materials in clothing were scary. you wouldn't want to hold a lighter near them. Green shag carpet ugh

  3. Had to laugh as the two floor patterns you showed, the second one was in the last place I lived in the kitchen. The bathroom there had carpet and when I pulled it up, that same kitchen pattern was under the carpet.

  4. At least men had hair styles then. Today it's a rat nest beard and a shaved head. And those who do have hair don't know what a comb is. And I'll never understand the 3-day growth of whiskers, I think it just makes a guy look dirty and careless.

  5. I still have my waterbed from the mid 80s. I never had huge problems with them. I'm on mattress 3 or 4 but that's good for nearly 40 years old.

  6. I use to have a studded belt back then as a kid. I like disco but disco duck seems like a joke that killed the whole genre. I wonder what the creator thought of their impact of destroying the genre. I've seen a few water beds before usually bad condition or broken. I would never want one but It's interesting. Cool video. ^_^

  7. Turtleneck bodysuits. They made your top flow perfectly into your pants but tended to be too short in the crotch with big snaps and going to the bathroom could turn into a nightmare.

  8. Your channel is fabulous! Being a teen in the 70's I can remember all of these trends. Some were "far out" and some were utterly ugly. But the 70's was a period of trends of all kinds. I would go back to that decade If I could and stay there!

  9. I'll take does trends back and actually go back to the 70's because people today all think they are cool, but most are fake as hell in every way.

  10. I have to disagree with some of what he said. We never raked our shag carpet (neither did anyone else I knew) & it looked fine. Also, I never knew of anyone popping their waterbed. The waterbed was actually much better on the back (IMHO) because the water supported you & contoured to your body unlike a flat mattress.
