8. No. You can't use someone else's copyrighted material to illustrate a point.
   You can use it if you are commenting/criticising the work itself not the content.
   For example you can't use someone else's photo of a billing to talk about the building. You can use it to talk about the photo, like the lens choice or the interesting lighting but not the subject of the photo.

12. Lol anyone who is using this as legal advice is an idiot. What steveo is not telling you is that he has a team of lawyers who is willing to go to court for him over these clips used in the common person does not have those same lawyers so you are still liable to go to court if you do not actually have the rights to that footage. It is so much more than how he basically describes it here and no using 3 seconds or less does not get around it either. I work in media and this is not wholly accurate and how he is describing it. In short if you do not have the rights to the content you can't use it. The way stevo is describing it is a bit more complicated and generally you cannot monetize. Get a lawyer be smarter than steve-o.

20. You actually get 7 seconds of any copyrighted material for any reason. Fair use comes in when profits come into it.
