45 thoughts on “How to Get the Best Cure For Flower – FTS Clips

  1. I want to know exactly what curing is from a science perspective. What's happening on a chemical level? Does curing require a sealed environment like a jar or can you cure in an open room, if the conditions were right? Why wouldn't bud technically begin to cure while hanging at 60/60 if those conditions are ideal? Or is the sealed jar a key variable? There's been where times I've found a tiny piece of trim on my coffee table weeks after trimming and it's aroma is so strong and dank like it cured better than what was in my Mason jars or grove bags lol. Why is that? I'm determined to have a better understanding of the process but there's so much of the same old info online but no reasoning or explanation of why…

  2. Does it say to get the flower to a certain level before you put it in there? If so I'm on to thinking these bags and the humidity control packs are not needed at all.

  3. so these grove bags retain 62%, so Broveda you can recharge but what about these bags, I have several but mostly mason jars. they can'y do that for long

  4. I have 2 questions regarding drying and curing. 1) why do you hang the plant upside down ? Is it just because it's easier to hang it upside down? 2) I dry my plants in a controlled 60 degree 60 % environment. Then I move my plants in a different space to cure that is maintained at the same 60/60 environment. What's the difference? Why not just store it in the same place? Maybe have an initial dry spot for a few days where the humidity is a bit lower just to rid it of some of its moisture?

  5. Grove bags are the best since sliced bread. Make sure the buds are around 13-14% moisture level before placing in bag and sealing. For the YT dummies you use a moisture meter…bud moisture is not the same as humidity.

  6. Burp Lids are awesome. I’ve used them on my last 4 grows. They work with any wide mouth mason jar. I prefer to use mine with Amber wide mouth mason jars. The grove bags are not as good because they let light in and are made of plastic.

  7. They definitely work, just tried them for the the first time in my last harvest, I did an experiment curing some in the mason jars and some the grove bags and they both smell dank, but I think the grove bags work better for longer storage than the jars

  8. They seem good for long term storage but are they suitable for constant opening closing when you want some bud. I use glass jars and never had a problem so far.

  9. The wide mouth dark Mason jars with the Boveda 62% packs work as good as anything else out there. The Cannatroll would be the only other thing that I would like to try but the huge price tag is keeping me from getting one.

  10. I cure in the grove bags and then place my stash in a cvault and the combination of both is unreal. The smoke is smooth, tasty and it grinds for joints perfectly. What I’ve noticed is my curing process has been cut in half from 6 weeks to 3 weeks with the grove bags. Unfortunately they don’t help with my wife lol

  11. The reason everyone is talking about the cannatrol and asking questions is they want it but the price is high. They need to be sure it's worth it. Also, the cannatrol takes what was the hardest part of cannabis production and makes it the easiest. That's not a small feat.

  12. I have tried grove bags and I HATE THEM. My buds smell WAY WAY BETTER in my mason jars . That’s my experience. Some say they rock I say they suck 😂 peace growmies

  13. I had a horrible experience with Grove Bags. Over-hyped in my opinion. The ziploc function failed miserably, the adhesive sucks. Jars and turkey bags have worked well for me.

  14. Grove bags work awesome, I’ve used them a bunch of times and still do, currently have some glookies I just unsealed after a month and it’s taaasty. I love the grove bags but a cannatrol seems like logical next step if you’re even kind of serious about quality, I’ll definitely be grabbing one soon.

  15. Budders has had his eye on a home Cannatrol device for almost a year now. I think I will have to break down and get one, because the extremely hot and humid summer is coming. Great show guys.

  16. Grove bags work very well. Just add a hygrometer in there to make sure your buds stay at 59-62% Humidity and it works better than jars IMO. Been using jars since 2009 and just recently switched over. I have their Grove Glass bags, 1oz and 1/4lb bags and they all work great. Later on this year I'll be getting the 1lb bags or the huge tub liners for my outdoor grow. Dnt knock it till you try it. Thought the same thing about LEDs till I bought my first one and never looked back lol

  17. i find 10-12 days is my preferred range to dry because to go a full 14 or 16 days you really gotta stay locked at 60% rH .

after they reached a solid dry the risk of mold is pretty low . Used to stick them into jars 3/4 full but now trying grove bags for my most recent harvest. Turned out really good
