0:05 Tires and wheels were cleaned. Wheels were rebalanced as well.
0:19 The exhaust could have been installed a bit to the right and would have worked. A sketchy “fix” to make the exhaust fit.
0:27 The technician said he thinks the customer had punched the screen but wanted it covered under warranty as OEM screens are expensive.
0:38 The car was deemed not safe to drive and the customer did not want to pay any price for diagnosis. Sub-frame needs to be replaced, it should not be patched with an angle iron or anything else.
0:58 An easy find!
1:08 Button to have lights on when the door is open was not pressed. An important reason to read your owner’s manual!
1:18 As mentioned alternator and battery were replaced and the solar panel was disconnected. Once that was done the alternator was charging around 14v and there was no longer a burning smell present. The blue were in the engine bay was from the solar panel directly to the battery.
1:39 Towed in. The earbud case kind of blends in with the shifter boot but a quick glance would have found this.
1:48 The technician said he had no clue how this got there, but it did look like the car was recently worked on so that must have been how the lizard got into the fuel tank.
1:56 The technician said this car just came in for a recall and had a custom spray-painted exterior, interior and was missing the passenger seat.
2:08 The vehicle was never equipped with a GPS.
2:17 Subaru engine. On some head gaskets I’ve also seen that manufacturers will note which way the head gaskets go on. Important to take photos as well when taking stuff apart.
2:27 The tire was replaced. The first time we’ve a tire tried to be patched with spray foam.
2:37 The technician removed 2 floor mats and put them in the trunk.
2:46 As mentioned the vehicle was never driven, and that’s why there are no marks on the brake rotors. However, the technician found a brake fluid leak.
2:58 Pontiac GTO.
3:07 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. Once I cleaned and painted some brake rotors before dropping them off to be turned. The parts store guy was appalled that there was paint on the wear surface and could not understand that the wear surfaces would be bare metal after machining.

  2. Customer states they live in a country with poor vehicle safety laws. Customer later refuses obvious repairs and is allowed to continue driving their deathtrap on public roads.

  3. This is why we need to return to being a Republic, as our founding fathers intended this country to be, and not a Democracy. These people shouldn't be able to vote.

  4. I could see painting around your brake rotor area where the pads themselves do not touch the surface, as i'm quite sure that is safe… but painting or greasing up the area where the pads need to make contact with the pure metal part of the rotor still just boggles my mind. And the lady with the basic radio thinking it was a GPS unit was hilarious haha.
