Than you .. 2012 to 2020 I worked in jeffersonville indiana, Mishawaka indiana, elkhart indiana and Shepardville Kentucky and Waxahachie texas I would locate Waffle House restaurants and reed my books used books from 4am to 8am. Broke so many steroids types. They never seen a Chicano “Mexicano American “ who loved reading. I know psychology, science , western culture and Chicano culture. Broke so many stereo types. I've seen this movie 🍿🎥 like 1,000 times literally it was always on repeat at the homie's crib Jose aka Junior, and we would smoke weed in the backyard and we would come in and have the munchies me and the homies and then we'd watch that movie and A bunch of other stoner movies and and movies like American me and blood in blood out… If we weren't watching it his little brothers would be watching it and that movie was the movie that was the most played in his house 🏘️ and I don't think 🤔 I've ever seen a movie 🍿🎥 so many times but it's really stuck with me and my culture that's literally the life we were living it was so authentic when it comes to that Chicano lifestyle!!! And it's still 1 of my favorite movies ever I still watch every now and then!! Chicano U Turn!!

40. As a Guatemalan, I always saw this film as a comedy. I was introduced to mexican American culture, though. I didn't identify with it, but I respect it.
