0:05 Only a CV axle boot was damaged and nothing else. The customer thought it was the brakes making the noise as well, and didn’t believe the shop when they told her the news.
0:16 The SUV had fairly low miles at the time this was filmed so the technician knew right away it was something else. He still checked the brakes and they were fine. Easy find!
0:31 Internal issue with the CVT transmission. There is an issue with the chain inside of the transmission.
0:47 The technician has no clue how somebody put gasoline in the washer fluid reservoir and was never told by the customer on how this happened.
0:56 Always important to read your owner’s manual or even do a quick Google search if you’re having an issue like this with the multimedia screen etc.
1:11 Front drive shaft came apart and damaged the transmission and also the transfer case (wasn’t shown but the technician said it was cracked). It’s common to see the double Cardan joints on the front drive shaft fail on these trucks as people usually forget to grease them, but this time it was a user error! Read your owner’s manual on what speeds you can drive in 4HI and 4LO.
1:28 Apparently the customer got everything from the divorce so he was thinking it was his ex-wife who did the damage.
1:41 Customer’s insurance company was involved and fixed the vehicle. Luckily nobody was injured!
1:56 Oil pan was smashed in and leaked out most of the engine oil. The engine needs to be replaced.
2:03 Customer involved his insurance company and said it was an issue with his car.
2:09 The customer later admitted to the service advisor that he punched it too much.
2:24 The technician said it was a safety hazard and also had to be hot-wired to start it.
2:37 No extra info.
2:56 Easy fix lol.
3:05 The clip was not shared by a viewer/subscriber. The technician’s wife saw this and posted it online and was shared with permission.
3:18 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. I swear. If people would just remove anything that didn't actually come with the car from the factory, they would find out what is causing their problem at least 60% of the time.

  2. Took my car to the shop because two ends of a broken and shredded wire were poking out my front grill. Did some googling and thought it might be the temperature sensor wire which had somehow gotten torn.

Mechanic was briefly confused by the damage. But then he grabbed one end of the wire and pulled fairly hard. That's when the other shredded wire disappeared into the grill. It was just some road trash that had gotten stuck so perfectly as to look like part of the car. 😂

  3. REMEMBER THIS FOLKS! Catching a first in the morning flight. See that last video insert? We aircraft techs on the graveyard shift do this same $hit…ALL NIGHT LONG!

  4. I once had to make a trip from Vancouver to Edmonton with two vehicles so I asked my nephew to drive my car while I drove the truck. Both vehicles were loaded with stuff including a mask for a small sailboat that was strapped to the roof rack of my car. We stopped a few times along that 12 hour drive for fuel etc. And everything was fine. (Or so I thought.) When we arrived in Edmonton, I dropped off the truck and hopped into my car. My nephew, now in the passenger seat. Well. I didn't make it 5 minutes when this god-awful noise was emanating from the top of the car. I pulled over. It was one of the straps vibrating in the airstream. I put a half twist into the strap and it stopped the vibration. I asked my nephew about it and he said, "It's been making that noise since Vancouver".
I couldn't believe it. He suffered with that noise for 12 hours rather than telling me something was wrong. It drove me crazy after 5 minutes. What a trouper he is…

  5. Recall a Cadillac Esqelade (sp???) that a customer had bought used in the summer, came in when it snowed that winter saying the AWD doesn't work. Before driving it in the shop I glanced underneath. Reason AWD didn't work was obvious. It was rear wheel drive, not all wheel. No charge today sir.

  6. not that i think i would ever work as a mechanic again, but if i did, i would never do it anywhere i cannot put a legal driving ban on a unsafe vehicle when the customer declines vital repairs.

  7. 1:28 That's attempted murder. Ex-wife is looking at 10 years minimum in prison, considering the possibility that multiple people could have been seriously hurt. I can only hope the guy filed a police report afterwards.

  8. Im pretty sure the last guy was just happy, that the car that was brought had the right fluids in the right place and so the oil change will be an easy one. :]
