Hell yeah its fuqqd up. Itll be one the cannabis world's downfall
Do you guys have a website or know of website that has a data base of seeds. IE where they came from and who invented them?
If I wanted the original white widow ,
Skunk 1 or Super Silver Haze , I would go straight to shantibaba.
If I was Breeding I would only work with his seeds .
I dont like Arjan !
I choose bean breeders who have a long standing within the market and communities. Barney's Farm has been in the market since the 1980's, Mephistio is one of the most well known and peer reviewed breeders in the market for autoflowers, another I trust is Garden of Green Seedbank who is a family owned small business who has been in the market for almost 20 years.
Freakshow from humboldt is the only patented strain
I had a c99 thinking it would be like one I had years ago and it was absolute BS.
this is the exact same as in dogs. the old timers/breeders lied and hung papers so you never really knew what you had. all you can do is go by traits, who gave it to you, and go from what you have. that's where it starts. you control what you can control and everything before is moot. everyone in the history of herb got it from someone prior and no one has the market cornered on something good. you might not know johnnie around the corner and being a snob to someone because they're not commercialized or known is rather naive and ignorant.
Add V-necks, or better, POLO shirts
I use Mephisto
it seems every plant is an individual despite the effort to inbreed? not sure the cultivars always matchup exactly. modern breeding may sterilise it though
Honestly…..a lot of these cultivars from the 70’s to early 90’s, probably no longer exist. Was shared hopefully, but ran its run, grow busts, and people just moving on
legalization might not make a difference i know I'm late to the video but lets be honest some of the people that hold the gate to specific genetics don't share it to much. I'm looking for some older stuff that i really haven't seen in way to long i was told it was blue dream
(who knows if that was the actual stain but regardless ) it was something i haven't had even going to all the store. i had a 8th stunk up the whole apartment building. 4 story building. and with all that smell the flavor was so bright and vibrant. most of the stuff i smoke now days i feel is pretty mild in the flavor department ( mild isnt bad its just not what im looking for )
Copycat genetix grows some 🔥. That being said his ethics etc suck.
You need to put the Genetics on the Blockchain.
Like ADA or Vechain they can put them on these two and others, they are Imutable Ledgers tracking the authentic origin.
I'm smoking Chem Hound, not Dog.
I am so glad some growers are honest and leave the consumer informed. .
Fellas, the skunk that you claim has disappeared. Has never gone anywhere in Kentucky and Ohio. Super skunk is easy to find that rks pheno in, the death rotting carcass smell is actually from the Afghani. And super skunk is skunk 1 x Afghani……so you have much easier time hunting it out in super skunk. But to this day if you know any of the old growers in Ohio and Kentucky, it's very much still around. Love your content bros
I like using seedsman, they promote the breeders and the prices are generally a markup, but they also let you know what cultivars they create. Crop king seeds might be the worst offender in Canada for ripping off names
To many people paying too much for a name. I use happy bird seeds. I have a few different skunk crosses. Daywrecker being one of my favorites.
Ive grown from my own seed from years. Zone 4b.
You can’t own the water man, nobody owns the water.
Sensi Seeds has a registered trademark on Skunk #1. I'm holding a ten pack right now. Blueskies probably has every Skunk. His came from Old Timer 1.
Hey Pigeon, If you want to find Skunk you need to go to the valleys of the Kush Mountain range north of Kabul Afghanistan. The farmers there call it Kush ! PEACE
Here's a crazy scenario !! Try to find the breeder for the "Bubblegum" cultivar. We know where it was created in Indiana, but the breeder has never come forward ! Bubblegum cultivars that we see today are NO WHERE near what the original cultivar was !!
GREAT topic boys !!! Breeding cannabis is a joke for the most part.
Is nirvana a good source
