In this episode, we pick up with Juvar mid-flower from week 4 – late flower. Javar is learning about the importance of headroom. It looks like the Diablo lights mixed with some bomb-ass Ventana Plant Science has made his flowers stretch a bit taller than anticipated.

We have to keep in mind the importance of balancing the light ratio to get fuller thicker plants with ceiling height. A couple of the ladies got a bit too close to the lights, so Juvar had to raise them a bit more.

Temp, Humidity, VPD, PPFD, NDLI, and DLI (daily light intervals) all play important factors in the success of your grow. Below is a list of Juvar’s DLI from week 1 to the present.

DLI (Daily Light Intervals)
Week 1: 34-36
Week 2: 38-40
Week 3: 42-44
Week 4: 46-50
Week 5: 48-50
Week 6: 48-50
Week 7: 46-48
Week 8: 40-44
Week 9: 36-38
Last 3 Days: 30-32

So far the main difference between the flowers under Diablo X is more growth and a slightly darker and richer coloring of the plants. Stick around for the next and final episode where we take a look at the results of this 5 month long experiment!

  1. Any tips on managing humidity if you’re using self-watering pots? My lung room I keep at around 50% humidity using a dehumidifier but even though I’m constantly exhausting air and passively intaking fresh dry air, the sensor in my tent is almost constantly at 63%.

  2. Genetics + Experience = results like these. Look at the trichome coverage of these genetics, curling the leaf-blades there's so much coming off the buds. I was lucky enough to get ahold of some called "Chronic", when I was stationed in San Diego in "97". Navy. I just remember a Dank/Pine/ and skunk .

  3. fantastic grow! what about LST , manipulate the main stem and TIE THAT MOTHER DOWN lol, less headroom problems if any! anyway you beat the heck out of my 6 plant med grow

  4. I USTA watch u ur just way smart for me to get but I'm back tryen to get a handle on vpd a friend uses the pulse he told me to watch u. U do great I'm just dum slow

  5. The further growth didn't "Have to take the beating" you could always super crop, bend the tops to meet the lowest point where you can safely create a new canopy. I know it's not the best plan to super crop during flower but it beats having too much light/heat on the colas.

Just my personal opinion, every grower has their own style.

  6. I'm a 65 yr. old Veteran. I grow outdoors because I need enough weed to keep my going all year- I take care of both elderly parents and don't have much time or money. EVERY damn year, I get ripped off. Usually 2-3 plants at most but, word has gotten around about my garden. This year both parents are doing poorly and I need to be there constantly with them. Which means I will get ripped off again. So, I need to learn to grow indoor. I'm just very nervous about it because I'm not very good at anything. Plus it's expensive.

  7. It's really cool to see this newer generation really having a passion for cannabis cultivation. You have some of the best genetics I've seen since in years! I'm not sure if you have to use these lights because they are sponsoring you? In my most honest opinion, if you ran a 600 w HPS and had that same shootout, your yield would be massive. You have the skill, and genetics

  8. Been a fan of Dusa since day 1 , I was even interviewed on his YouTube channel. He is a great asset to the cannabis community & a very smart young man.
