In 2014, filmmaker Jessica Villerius met death row inmate, Clinton Young, who had been convicted of a double homicide and became convinced of his innocence. Her documentary ‘Innocent on Death Row’ exposed the weakness of the whole case, proving the shootings could not possibly have taken place the way the prosecutor alleged. These and other new facts, including serious misconduct by the prosecution, led to Young’s execution being halted just 8 days before it was due to take place. He is granted a new trial and freed on given bail to await his new trial.
Clinton was 19 when he was imprisoned. He is now 38. After almost 20 years of solitary confinement, how do you adapt to life outside? In addition, the strict conditions of his bail prevent him from living in the same state as his family and even going to the supermarket across the road from his house. He’s terrified of making the slightest mistake and being sent back to prison. He’s free but not free.

this is a reminder of there is still good ppl in this world
Honteux
Much respect to those female attorney's who relentlessly worked to get him out. They are both beautiful inside and out.
I remember seeing his story and looking him up to see if he ever got out. What a relief that he finally got some justice.
Send Mr. Paige to X row soon.
Many blessings old friend
When's his retrial? Should be coming soon. 2 people were killed he was present at both and fled on a high speed chase from police while on a meth binge. Page ran TO the police Young fled. He's only out on a technically ya'll do realize he's awaiting a retrial right? It's Texas he's not beating 2 murders and he knows it so does this Lawyer
I feel like I'm playing Scrabble with old Harold Delaney I don't know Harold you can't put that there. You haven't heard tell of a boot?
we really need programs to help people like him for after they get out so that they are less likely to reoffend due to trying to take care of themselves since they just toss them out of jail and say good luck we also need a reform on how we do things in the justice system so things like this do not happen again
you should also look into how the broken system put Robert Pruett to deal in texas for a crime with zero evidence after he was put in prison as a kid for a crime he did not commit with evidence and with a confession from the person that did the crime
Think about HOW many inmates have been killed that were innocent…I would hate to find out I helped convict someone that was truthfully innocent.
I've followed clinton young for years i hope you do win completely because in my opinion it wasnt you never as been you and its you that as suffered i think your an amazing person hansome qnd i pray you do get trutly free to live your life you deserve it keep strong and fighting amazing man
What a beautiful and inspiring story.. Thank God for saving his life .
It's fine hearted people like Renate and her team of course that make this world worth living.
Very well done, I'm thoroughly moved.
HE IS NOT INNOCENT. IT IS CALLED FELONY MURDER
so did yall smash as a team or individually?
Someone outside of the US had to save him? 😢 so glad he's out now. It should be illegal to allow someone to go to prison based on co defendants testimony. Of course theyll save themselves.
David page was ok with the 30 years because he knew he was getting off easy. Clinton fought because he truly was innocent. Why wouldn’t David be trying to get out of he ever was truly innocent?
Wow. How amazing
Im so glad he is out of prison but having an ankel monitor is probably just as bad as being in prison. You have freedom but then you dont. Either way its like hes still in prison. Im just seeing Clintons case and he seems like such a great person, very respectful and eager to stay free.
That gun instructor is pretty dense. He sitting there with a pistol pointed at the driver. ??? Wtf.
