I talk to a caller about being an EMT while she was still in high school, whether or not it’s ethical to neuter dogs, and saving mountain children from certain death.
Then I talk to a caller who regrets cheating in a relationship, a caller having mixed feelings about his peer’s growth, and a caller embattled in a workplace lawsuit.
I am on tour right now and the shows have been really really fun. You should come. Tickets to Therapy Gecko Live are on sale now in 40+ cities around the US, Europe, Australia, and Canada. Get them here before they sell out: https://laylo.com/lyle4ever/m/zZTfe

Don't declaw ur cat it is in ethical. They have nerves in them. They can't hunt or climb to escape predators
First girl, great guest, I suggest you try to say "Like", less.
Give a meow, Sam,
And if you have time, play it again
Neutering is castration, and declawing is chopping part of the cat's paws off
I don’t have anything to say, just wanted to the the 69th comment.
2nd caller was +A Loser
I think the more accurate comparison to declawing a cat would be debarking a dog. Neutering isn’t going to cause the same psychological symptoms declawing would but I’ve seen what debarking does & it’s awful. I can’t even believe it’s legal in some states.
You choose the responsibility of owning a cat. You don’t choose to have old ass parents. They’ll figure it out on their own
Cant wait to go to the show in dublin!
declawing is removing the nail and a part of the bone so no nail comes back.
Gek male cats get neutered too, its not specific to dogs. lol
Bro you goto fix your lighting/ background or something. Lol. Love your videos.
42:30 theres an 80% chance i know exactly what job this person is taking

You can just trim cats nails. Literally just nail clippers. Why do anything else
i like the no green screen lighting
3:00 the cat is hearing heartbroken emojii
No it's castration ya dingus!
2nd guy is a damn hypocrite 🙄 and needs to work on himself before he can get with anyone else .seriously cheating is low and you should just leave the person if you want to be uncommitted still lol
Declawing and neutering are NOT the same thing 💀 one is a non invasive procedure with no long term side effects while the other is irreparably damaging joints and will cause long term pain over the course of a cats life. It’s not just removing the nail, it’s like removing the whole top part of your finger.
6:48 This lady is a disgusting human being. Seems like someone who values animal life over a humans life. Still wrong. Again; Disgusting human being.
Declawing is NOT just removing nails. It is removing the entire first section of the digit! Imagine having all your fingers cut off at the top knuckle……. Don't ever do that to your cat. Ever.
Just had my first therapy session in 10 years thanks to your inspiration. Thank you Lyle
That first girl was a dumbass
I'm sorry, I just couldn't get passed the first caller, Lyle.
Declawing a cat is more like cutting the tip of all the phalanges (fingers and toes) so cutting your finger off just under the nail. It makes it harder to walk and greatly increases risk and severity of arthritis
Neutering is not considered unethical. Not only does it help keep populations of dogs down, but there's a lot of health benefits to neutering dogs, including avoiding cancers and other diseases later in the dog's life. Some breeds of dogs do have a sort of "opposite effect" , where if they are neutered too early, they can have the chances of some diseases increase. However that's only really prominent in Golden and Labrador retrievers, and even they still benefit from neutering, just a little bit later on.
Declawing is considered to be unethical. It's not a medically essential surgery, and involves removing the first digit in cats (basically us getting our finger amputated up to our first knuckle). Usually it's done when people want to prevent cats from destroying furniture or scratching people. However, the only time a cat is destroying furniture or acting aggressive is when they have behavioral issues/ not enough mental stimulation, which can be fixed with training, positive reinforcement, and other methods that don't involve surgery. Declawing a cat doesn't fix it's behavior; if anything it will just encourage the cat to be more reproachful, and defend itself in other ways such as biting.
