The Lt should be fired as well.
His loss of patience and subsequent aggressiveness was straight up Eric Carman "you must respect my authori-tie!" ego bullshit.
Cops are just bullies.
He wasn’t trying to protect that patient. They messed up cuz they probably shouldn’t have been chasing the other guy. The person he’s trying to get blood from has a massive lawsuit. This cop is just trying to cover piggy asses.
That policeman is the kind of enthusiastic lickspittle that typify police departments everywhere. A power mad control freak, venting his various inadequacy related frustrations on everyone he encounters while in uniform.
The second cop asks why he doesnt get the warrant and the answer " There's no PC" (Probable Cause)
We need to implement public lashings for law enforcement that pull this shit. I think you'll find that it doesn't happen very often.
There is no way implied consent laws are an actual thing, the 'justice' system is literally worse than rapists in that case.
WE NEED A LAW MADE ALL THE COPS BUY LEGAL INSURANCE TO PAY FOR THEIR ACTION NOT TAX MONEY
MANY COPS ACTING THEY ARE THE LAWS
this angers me. where the fuck is her manager? the house supervisor?
I pray everyday something like this will happen to me just free money
Tener paciencia ante estos tiranos no es fácil, incluyendo a los policías de cartón.
This is kidnapping and both officers should be in prison
People….don't comply.Just Sue.
shocking
Isn't it crazy how all these men allow this knowing it's wrong. Someone should have hit em as soon as he put his hands on her.
HS Ed and 6 months academy, I never expect much.
Disgusting. Keep earning the hate
"Why are you blaming the messenger, sir?"
"She's the one that told me no."
Huh??? Excuse me??? Am I the only one hearing this incompetence being spewed out of this officer's ass?
They were so shamed by their behavior that the cops just gave her a half million dollars settlement, no lawsuit necessary.
Additional possible collateral damage here: no one appears to have any concern for castigating, harrying, and removing this vital first responder duties for a needless length of time. How many additional patients might have been affected by their actions? Nurses are overworked and understaffed as it is. Patients may have suffered or possibly had negative effects to their care(possibly death when not enough hands on board during a crisis.) No thought or concern from the cops about that, either. I'm sure the remaining staff did their best, but who knows what the impact to bystanders was? Appalling.
Thats why we need iq tests for cops…many just doesn understand the law
It sounds like the police, after engaging in a high-speed pursuit that ended up in a crash and an innocent third-party driver in the hospital, were hoping that they would find out he'd been drinking, which would shield them from any lawsuits by the injured man.
I'd be interested to hear if that patient (assuming he survived) filed any kind of suit against the Salt Lake City P.D., either for the events surrounding the crash, or for their well-documented attempt to violate his Fourth Amendment rights.
