10. There has never been a person who went on Jerry Springer thinking it was going to have a positive outcome, especially in the later years. It was a joke at the time about people going on the Springer show to get paid for acting like a moron, not much different than today's tiktok or any rage bait video. He was a joke even at the time. There were already so many people across the country who had lost respect for him because, back then, commentary in a news broadcast wasn't the norm or particularly welcomed.

When you think jerry springer, you think the show before the man, which is crazy considering the clout he once had, and how name recognition mattered then. They never chanted "jerry" for him, they chanted becuase that was the name of the show.
    when I was growing up I always maintained that the weakest part of the jerry springer show was jerry himself. He added nothing really. Just a guy with question cards and a mic, anyone in the audience could fill that roll. I wonder how that impacted him…
