The car can do it. The reason Elon keeps putting the Roadster and Cybertruck release to the public off is because the battery technology can not. He's kicking the can down the road so he can get that all important range figure.

That’s crazy, I got a ride along in the car with this guy and it was insane! If you Google 2020 Tesla roadster ride along, my video has the most views with I think 1.9 million at the moment. Crazy fast and super fun experience! 💯

The video he is talking about was when the roadster did 0-137mph around 5 or 6 seconds threw the "speed tunnel" they had setup. It was up for almost a month oddly enough. But it still pretty fast.
Lots should have made there new car an ev. They had the first tesla roadster and could have dipped into the people that wait for the second one.
