  1. NOT so fun fact: We have all heard the intro to the album Iowa. The fact is? Sid Wilson has just recently lost his father. I’m not sure how… But anyways….
The intro to the album, Iowa was a recording from Sid Wilson himself in the recording booth very shortly after his father had passed away.
That was his legitimate guttural, absolute feelings, apparently how he felt at the time. So that’s what the intro to Iowa is.
Also, I’m not really positive as to where the intro to the self titled slipknot album came from. But? I can tell you that it says “The whole thing I think is SIC” repeatedly.
I’m pretty sure it was probably Clown, but I’m not positive. Props to anybody who read what I had to say, but it is the actual truth so every time I hear that intro? I get goosebumps and you know? It’s just something else when you know where it came from and why. 🤘
Rest in peace, Paul Gray, and rest in peace Joey Jordison.

  2. Hmmm… there are a few inconsistencies in this story. Wasn't the subliminal verses (slipknot 3rd album with RR) the album that was recorded in Rick Ruben's Houdini Mansion?

  3. If only they could put something out that awesome again. I still love the knot and all their albums but let's be real here, they haven't touched those first two albums since with their following albums. Honestly I wish they'd revisit some of the vibes from self titled. There's a lot that didn't carry over from self titled to Iowa but Iowa was so insane it held its own. Like I said before, I like all their stuff (less so this last album TESF) but for me the first two are absolutely perfect. From star to finish masterpieces.

  4. So this is why my face is paralyzed? Actually I’ve been diagnosed with transgeminal neurology and it’s called the suicide disease. Because when it flares up it hurts so bad and it takes a psychological toll on you that you don’t know if you wanna go through it time and time again

  5. Love it , I listened to this album while in my evening deer hunting treestand on my headphones, battling the inner thoughts of depression for no reason whatsoever, SKIN TICKET is powerful, a well done track that is haunting, but feels good at the same time, the screaming growling lyrics with the extra sounds creeping in around the layers ,the track ends with KEEPING MYSELF ALIVE, with that deep sound scraping or gouging at you. It felt like someone was telling you not to give up keep going, pretty cool music for us heavy music fans ,
