47 thoughts on “Rebuilding A Flooded $2,000,000 McLaren P1 | Part 6

  1. How different would the damage be if this was flooded in fresh water and not salt. I would assume it would be less….

  2. If not mistaken.. this is what happens on dde’s 720 previously right? The time damon blew his engine was the same case that the rod gave up on damon😂

  3. This car is a masterpiece 😭😭I'm scared to shit all the way in south africa just looking at all the components just wasted by the floods

  4. I guess because its not really broken as such, Well some of the body was it should just be a case of remove old and replace with newer bits. Looking forward to the engine rebuild and seeing what can be achieved with that. Seems like you have some good knowledgeable people behind you Freddie, This is going to be a good watch for sure.

  5. 5:00 that fender/mount has some of the ugliest lay i have ever seen in my entire life. That makes the wheels on a Koenigsegg look like works of art from Ancient Greece. Sheesh… for that money, you'd think McChickenlaren would put a bit more effort into those parts.

  6. First: why do I get the feeling that you will be doomed to find new pockets of seawater in this poor thing until the heat death of the universe?

Second: the late Ken Block did a bit in one of his videos a couple of years ago, explaining how he got into and out of his race cars, since he also wasn't exactly a small person. Turns out, he put himself in head-first, until his torso was entirely over the passenger seat, then got his feet into the pedal box and slid himself into the driver's seat.

  7. There's lift adapters you hook on the pin points which move the lift point right under the center of gravity for cars that have big offsets like this one. Basically, they're like square tube with the pins that fit inside the arms of the lift. Fiddly to get under the car, but they do work. Dunno where you'd get some, i only saw them at a specialty car shop for pump cars, where basically all the weight is in the rear and they're impossible to lift without tipping over, which is kind of ridiculous considering how it looks.

  8. You speak in euphemisms. You're not a "big boi" you're a fat guy. Not obese, mind you, but definitely above a desirable weight. Skip the take-out and start cooking your own meals without the seed oils and excessive carbs. If you need a snack, skip the potato chips and go for pork rinds. Sounds counterintuitive, but a few curls will satisfy your craving when a whole bag of chips won't.

  9. This car is way too complicated, way to destroyed, and is going to cost you 2 mil to get it running! Your should have bought a good condition dry P1!

  10. I have a legitimate question for any one in the comments. I’m currently rebuilding my 08 350z HR after sitting around for 2 years in storage. I’ve been in the car game for a long time but never a rebuild this in depth. What is/are the best resources for putting it back together motor wise AND HOW TF DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF WHERE ALL THE BOLTS COME FROM AND GO!

  11. This is an automotive horror movie with soggy jump scares at almost every turn. I hope justice prevails and you are rewarded for your hard work in the end.

  12. $500k to take apart a car that will never go back together for anything less than 150% of the price of a flawless one, and even if that ever happened the only reward would be dealing with constant problems. That thing is trashed, just look at every steel threaded insert in the frame, from the frame up roached. Nothing but some used body parts and wall hangers.

  13. sure are milking the p1 videos.. might as well make a season of it to get all the views you can since its gona cost so much to rebuild.. smart smart
