The 1970s had a lot of toys for kids to choose from and some of those have remained popular to this day. Other toys weren’t so luck and some have been lost over time. In this video we will remember some of the 1970s forgotten toys!

Smash-up Derby?
I still have a few of these in the video, which include the Biotron, Coleco Telstar Ranger console, Spirograph (full or near-full intact set), some tray full of leftover '70's Legos, a pocket game with the bb's. We did have Ants in the Pants but it seems it got donated or given away a few years ago. We used to have the Raggedy Ann dolls but those probably got thrown away before 1980, but we still have the Raggedy Ann board game to this day, though no one has played that in decades either. I think we also had that Simon electronic game at one point.
Look how less fat everyone was
My favorite thing with these videos are the comments by people with rose colored glasses.
Played with all these toys – what a childhood!
Loved the music on this video, anyone know which 2 tracks they were?
I still have the Evel Knievel wind up motorbike here in UK -It still works and
My new 16 year old son also played with it growing up.
Born in 1970. I had a LOT of these toys! The Evil Knievel motorcycle with that side mount was HUGE fun. You could really make that Cycle go. I had the Snake River set and the van too!
Definitely BETTER BACK THEN!
I used to love the evil Knievel stunt bike as a kid!
Gnip Gnop was an awesome game.
thanks 🥰
Born in '74, I had most of these toys growing up. In fact, not only did I have the Evel Knievel stunt cycle, I had the CHiPs version, as well.

The kaleidoscope! A great toy for the cyclops in your life!
I was born in ‘73 and my brother in ‘69. We had so many of the things here. I remember the Evel Knieval stunt guy with the motorcycle. Our dog chewed off his hands and feet! We had the Coleco Telstar, and I remember my brother playing non-stop with the Electronic Football game (I think it was called Electronic Quarterback). I also remember having that handheld driving game. I had forgotten all about it.
I remember those fisherprice ones with the garage in the early 80's. I was kinda drawn to the aesthetics, that it had an elevator and ramps. I guess it inspired my engineering and architectural mind.
There was a construction toy that I enjoyed greatly. It was my brother's, and I have never seen it mentioned anywhere. It was similar to the toy "marble run" but used plastic balls instead. There were openwork cubes that had circular openings to the outside of the cube, and railings on the inside. Picture a drawn cube and a circular opening on the top leading to one side like an elbow. There was also one that went straight through from the top to the bottom or right to left depending on what way you wanted to put all the cubes together. There was a yellow elevator that ran on batteries that connected to your construction, and a wide rubber band studded with small triangles brought 2 inch in diameter balls from the bottom of your construction to the top, where they would roll through the tunnels you made back to the bottom. I remember at the time I wanted three to four (at least) of these sets to make quite an enormous one.
