OK, maybe the jack-in-the-box was a bit much. π
I am a young millenial (1996) and this gave me so happy to see again. π₯° My mother is a Gen X and I remember all of these as a child! π It's like this timeline had the best toys, because they are so classic! π§Έβ¨οΈ
Lol i was fortunate enough to have all these things at some point and honestly kind of miss the alarm clock
π€£π€£π€£bullshit
Hope your joking. Toys and household appliances don't give people anxiety.
I literally used to scream when that alrm went off!
Rock music. Itβs mostly just noise.
Late aged Boomers, Gen Ex, and early Millennials have stress having played with ALL of these. π’
π€£π€£π€£
Gen Y did tooπ
So true! Especially that alarm clock!
The only thing that gave me anxiety in the eighties was trying to do math homework in the gym on Monday morning thirty minutes before the bell rang. And math was my first hour. I was so stupid when I could have saved myself so much stress by just doing it friday night.
And to think the high school kids today have anxiety over:
PRO NOUNS w t f
This is not why gen x has anxiety.
The alarm clock sound is the worst LoL π
Anyone remeber stop thief? it was a board game, but had a handheld that would give you clues to catch the thief.
I can't be the only one who turned down the volume slightly when Perfection appeared just in case the board popped up
Hell yeah
That damn Perfection game still gives me agita!!
Yep anxiety alright, and i still got anxiety. That dam Perfection game took years off my life, i swear
Perfection is what nightmares are made of…… Good game though.
Oh wow! I had that exact same model of alarm clock!
Gen X the best time to grow up!
The alarm set off some ptsd πππ
The Jaws game
Maybe they gave YOU anxiety, but those games were fun to me! Though the clock was annoying lol.
When i hear those sounds it pure joy and laughter now. Thank you!
I agree ! I think My biggest stress was The fact that Back to back Cartoons were just on Saturdays. I hated when it was pre-empted for An election, Crazy news story, or some stupid Play off game !
Lol I remember all of those that and my dad gave me anxiety what would give a kid anxiety more then your dad pounding on your screaming wake up now or saying I'm going to check your room you got an hour to clean
Ah yes, nothing like those 80's alarm clocks that made you think Russian nuclear ICBM's were incoming.
Iβm not gen x was I born in 82 but pretty much grew up with most of these.
Perfection that was a fun game, they also had super Perfection where you had to assemble the pieces first
No excuse to have the blaring noise on the clock radio. Just set it to wake up to music instead. That was the beauty of the radio part. No more jolting up out of fright. The little travel alarms were a different story. Those things would almost give you heart failure!π¬
No, this is why we can cope with anxiety better than most- we were trained to as children π₯
I still remember all these were still popular in the early 90s.
I was born in 1962 as a baby boomer. But, remember most of these items.
LOL! 56 yrs old and I still have my Pac-Man game from the 80s(ββ’α΄β’β)β€.
