0:00 Intro
0:05 The mechanic thinks that the previous owner knew about this and got rid of the car right away as they knew the issue was going to be a headache. A good reason to get a mechanic/technician to inspect a vehicle before purchasing it from a private seller or a dealership. When the core plug (also known as the frost plug), blew out it filled the oil pan with coolant and the previous owner and new owner kept driving like that which made this cheese whiz-type oil in the engine. I talked to a mechanic in the UK who worked on this exact engine and said most of the time the engine needs to be replaced after this happened due to overheating, but sometimes you get lucky and can just install new core plugs and clean/flush the engine.
0:26 Vehicle is a diesel Land Rover which requires diesel exhaust fluid (known as AdBlue), but not in the engine. First time seeing a customer put DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) in an engine. If you get lucky and catch it in time you could flush the engine a number of times, but this customer drove it until the engine shut off.
0:39 Sunglasses making a rattling noise.
0:51 The customer’s insurance paid to get a used transmission installed. This is a 2011 Hybrid Escalade so the technician said the price for a used transmission was close to 4k at the time this was filmed. This requires a different transmission compared to one that is non-hybrid.
1:14 The mechanic thinks that a car wash did this possibly when they recently cleaned the customer’s car. They are unsure exactly who put it there, however, it was an easy fix.
1:25 Not sure who the “other shop” was, but they left the spring compressor tools on the coil springs when they installed them.
1:33 They think the customer left a bag of fish in the back after fishing which leaked water and fish everywhere since they had found a fishing rod in the back of the SUV.
1:44 Hatch of this Hyundai Santa FE that sounds like Chewbacca.
1:49 “Update: new BCM, TDM, column harness, ignition switch, key, and brake switch.”
2:03 An important reminder to upgrade the internals of your engine when adding forced induction to it. A stock engine will only last for so long.
2:16 Phone mount the customer added after the instrument cluster was replaced made the noise.
2:26 Not the best way to replace a module underneath the carpet.
The carpet was left in that condition.
2:36 “Someone has probably told him if he puts a car seat in it won’t get tested. I’ve had numerous customers tell me this before. Not sure why but hopefully that was the reason for the unsecured child seat.”
2:49 Happened at a Gas station in Italy. They encountered this on the camera a day later after it happened.
2:59 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. Always remember to do your research before installing turbos. Many engines can handle a turbo without much issue but many can not!

  2. Somebody tried to fill there tire with a fire extinguisher that can't be real people cannot be that stupid no I don't believe it nobody's that stupid!!!! i meen u would literally have to be mentally retarded!!!

  3. Watching these videos leaves me in no doubt that generally, people are stupid. It's also kinda black-pilling to think the same people who do these stupid things, also vote.

  4. the crankshaft breaking after getting a turbo installed reminds me of when I was 15 and tuning scooters with my buddy. My buddy wasn't as knowledgable or had as much money as me, so he tried his best to tune his scooter, but didn't ask for help, so he installed a larger cylinder, racing vario, new carborator and the engine went from doing (i don't remember exact numbers, it's been 15 years) but his scooter went from maybe 8000 rpm to 15.000 rpm but didn't replace the stock crankshaft, so the crank shaft blew up and took the engine block with it. It was good fun, and the scooter was a chinese knock off of the yamaha yog R, so I ended up donating him a donor engine I had that just needed a new cylinder to work.

After that I helped tune his scooters, and made sure we bore out the block to fit the larger cylinders but also that the crankshaft got upgraded to one rated for 15000+ rpm.

A lot of good fun, but I can't imagine doing that to a car, because that'd be sad and expensive haha

  5. I knew that was an N12/N14/N16/N18 engine just from the thumbnail. I've had the valve cover opened on my Mini's N18 so many god damn times. I love this car but I'm gonna miss it…

  6. Best one ive ever had, customer came in to get their summer tires put on their honda. Did that and they came back the next day complaining I had done it wrong. I kid you not they said the H on the hubcaps should be straight up and down. I attempted to explain that as you drive, your wheels turn. So they wanted me to turn them so all the H's would turn at the same time. I tried to explain then when you turn a corner the wheels turn at different speeds, but they didn't get it. So I finally lifted it, turned them all the same way and asked them to check which way they were facing when it got home.

  7. Those people driving with their child unbuckled all the time need the child taken away. If they cannot fix a seatbelt buckle and keep their baby daughter or son safe they do not need the child and they most likely irresponsibly had the child. Take it away before they kill it

  8. The dumbass with the fire extinguisher does not need to say the word car much less drive one how fucking stupid do you have to be to try to inflate your tires with a fire extinguisher that's next level stupid

  9. You know, I love this channel not because I'm a mechanic or a car guy, but because it confirms my suspicion that the only thing that matches human ingenuity is human stupidity.

  10. i had a customer come in asking us to fix a rattle coming from somewhere on the car. I drove the vehicle about 10 minutes, got back to my shop and inspected the windscreen and found the rubber seal at the top flapping in the wind. weirdest thing too, Ive never seen a window seal like that come loose, but sure enough…
