It is with great sadness that we report the passing of our brother Wayne Swinny. Wayne passed away this afternoon from a Spontaneous brain hemorrhage while we were out on tour. Details for the funeral arrangements will be announced shortly. Wayne will be missed by all those who knew him.

Founding Saliva guitarist Wayne Swinny has suffered a brain hemorrhage, the band revealed in a statement earlier today. Saliva is currently on tour and is currently scheduled to perform tomorrow night. We are sending our thoughts and prayers out to Wayne and his family, and band.

Blood clots and died suddenly. Seems to be trending in 2021/2022.

I haven't listened to Saliva since josey scott left, but I'll definitely be blasting saliva all day today in memory of Wayne. He was a BAD ASS guitarist.

I met Wayne a few years back in Waterloo, IA (he’s in my profile picture actually). He was a super cool dude and I distinctly remember thinking he was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. True loss in every way. What a great guy.

I had the opportunity to meet Wayne a few years ago in Abilene during an acoustic tour, he and I chatted for quite some time before he wound up signing my guitar. He was so down to earth and genuinely polite, I can't believe he's gone. The music industry has lost another great one.
Was never a fan but never had anything against the band. That's a real shame that he passed like that. Prayers out to his family and friends…
