6. The advice of 'don't pull a gun unless you're going to use it' is horrible for people to hear. Training, situational awareness, and keeping your ego in check are the ways to go. There are tens of thousands of weapon presentations by citizens annually that do not result in use of force. Trying to draw and fire quickly isn't what most armed citizens can do proficiently. Life is not a Western movie.

I’m not taking a side on whether it was self-defense or murder but I will say 98% of what your guest said is 100% wrong. I respect what he did in his situation. I would’ve done the same, but he definitely comes across as an uneducated goof as soon as he starts talking about Rittenhouse.

9. Another example of how “blood spatter evidence” is just a hokie bunch of junk science which has since been debunked and ruled to be irrelevant per se. Blows my mind, that to this day, there are still scores of guys behind bars, based upon some quackpot opining that the blood spatter suggested a series of factual events which were imaginary figments. That’s a scary concept my friends.

16. Detectives go to the District Attorney or Assistant District Attorney to get a sign off on a murder charge. I am sure they discuss it with their Sgt. and other detectives prior to sending it to the DA's office.

I believe the story to an extent but as someone who manipulates people I can tell when someone's being manipulative… I'm about 95% sure that the guy didn't say he was going to kill him, sure he probably attacked him they probably had some words hand but when you've just shot and killed someone you're going to want to spin it and make yourself seem as less guilty as possible even though it probably was self-defense you're going to want to say the guy threatened to kill you and that you didn't provoke him by having an argument or anyting to make your chances of not being charged greater than they are…

29. Respectfully you and your guest are incorrect in some of your statements on the law. If you don’t know for a fact you should research before you speak on gun laws in Florida. Also the reason for open carry while fishing and the rationalization behind it are subjective and there are good reasons why those guys do these demonstrations. Some are looking for trouble but some are trying to educate folks. 2A is so much deeper than most observe and the reasoning for it goes unmentioned too often

There’s no CSI guy who can explain and or justify shooting a man in the back multiple times as he runs away especially considering, there’s obviously no immediate threat or eminent danger or fear of death. 40. I didnt read all the comments, so if someone already said this, then ignore me. The question came up as to who charged you with murder. So this is how it goes.
    The cops present the evidence to the prosecutor office. In the case of murder or any other felony, the prosecutor presents the evidence to a Grand Jury and the Grand Jury votes to have the suspect indicted or not. In legal speak its called Bill or No Bill. If the vote is Bill, then the prosecutor brings the case before the court.
