Over the span of his 40 plus-year career, Dr. David Cook’s focus has been on testing, monitoring, and fine-tuning vision therapy as a clinician, author and educator. As one of the nation’s leading authorities on vision therapy, Dr. Cook has given lectures on expanding depth perception to optometrists and other eye professionals at clinical seminars, study groups and optometric congresses all over the world. His book “The Shape of the Sky” teaches us that vision is something we do, and more importantly, something we can learn to do better.”

  2. This guy giving narcissistic vibes. His discussion is more about optometrists and his complaints about them. An ophthalmologist is the doctor people with particular issues need to see. There are ophthalmologists that offer vision therapy programs, especially for children and have for decades. Also Dr Charles Shedd began studying dyslexia in the 60s and his programs are used at dePaul schools for dyslexia. This nut job isn't providing anything groundbreaking.

  3. I’ve had strabismus my whole life, including two surgeries at ages three and six in order to correct it. My eyes would seem normal at first glance and even mostly when talking but they’re definitely not. It’s true what he said about being able to kinda see around corners. It’s not a big reach but has came in handy being chameleon like lol. I’ve also always been interested by art and drawing, however I stopped because I always had a hard time creating complex images like a lot of advanced artists. The best work I ever did was by looking at something for reference and putting it to paper, however as stated above whenever attempting on my own to create an image it was always a lot harder to do. Looking back perhaps it was something with the eyes now, makes sense really. After going to the doctor about it in 2020, I did my own research on how many artists probably had/have some form of eye issues and are able to capture a way of seeing that mostly everyone else is blind to. Anyways, definitely an interesting topic and hits home base for me. Keep up the great work in helping promote better vision.

  4. Dr. David"OKAY" Cook. Somewhat informative, okay. I watched the whole thing, okay. Even Danny started copying him towards the end, okay. Apparently all the visual stuff couldn't stop OKAY.

  5. For dyslexia the first two I had to a degree, but I also mix the middle letters like that man's a liar, but I sometimes would write that's a lair.

  6. I love all of your podcasts! An hour and 15 minutes in and I have not heard the word "perception". This guy keeps saying people "see" things differently – but it is how we "perceive". Perception is the combination of information that differentiates that you and I "see" something differently. I really hope one of you guys mentions this sooner than later.

  7. Iam a full blown dyslexic of the which couldn't read write and or comprehend what I read or what was read to me. Not a vision thing at all this guy knows his ishh.

  8. I used to wear glasses and after becoming really sick and paralyzed with Transverse Myelitis, and eventually I fully recovered from it and somehow my vision miraculously became better than 20/20, and I no longer need glasses and my stigmatism went away.
