3. Hasan is not simply critical of what happens in hearings because a guy from the party he “doesn’t like” runs them. If you’re uninformed about Jim Jordan’s blatant corruption, water-carrying for Trump and grandstanding, you may see this as partisan bias from Hasan. But he’s enough of a subjective journalist to know you can’t both-sides these issues. If you think he’s such a nice guy, give him a call. I’m sure he’d be happy to explain all the things that change in democratic institutions when a MAGA Republican picks up the gavel. January 6 apologists are not simply “the other side” from what Democrats are thinking. They are hellbent on destroying this democracy. 19. John's glowing review of Cuba is questionable, as someone as smart as he is who worked in the field he did. There is absolutely an overt and a covert reason for why travel bans were re-imposed under Trump. The DGI (Cuba's intelligence service) steals more from us than just about anybody else and because they have little use for what they steal (because they are a much smaller country who can't use it against us the way they'd like), they sell it to other countries like Russia and China — in fact, this is a major part of Cuba's economy. He went there on a 1 week trip to be recognized for his book, which, rightly or wrongly, criticized our intelligence service, so he had the red carpet rolled out for him and was put up in a hotel fit for foreigners with all of the amenities they're used to. I guarantee you he also didn't have to wait in the queues for half of the day to get basic food items like locals do either. There is a Youtuber by the name of "Anton is Here" who has a good video showing what the real Cuba is like for their citizens. John also said "it has gotten a lot better in the last few years" when referencing their internet access — it's 2023 John. I don't think he has any malicious intent, but I think he was snowed during his visit and was led to believe he was experiencing what they experience.

20. People who still pedal the Epstein murder conspiracy theory in 2023 have a serious deficit in critical thinking skills. Back in 2019, it was widely published that he had signed a last will, putting around $500m in his brother's name, 2 days before his death. Whether it worked or not, it showed his intent. Moreover, he committed suicide using a bedsheet to hang himself in his cell, something he had attempted in the same exact manner a few weeks prior. An inmate in the cell next to his reported hearing him tearing up his bedsheets on the night he hung himself. His first attempt at suicide occurred July 23, several days after a judge denied a renewed bail request. In his trial, it was mentioned that "agents found $70,000 in cash, 48 loose diamonds and other jewelry, and a passport from a foreign country with a picture of Epstein under another name" in a safe they found in his house. He had offered via his lawyer to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to post bail, which if he was permitted, he clearly had planned to flee the country. When his request was denied and he realized the jig was up, the suicide attempts began. Anytime I hear someone still claiming Epstein was murdered in 2023, it becomes evident that person doesn't have the brains or the desire to do basic research through internet searches available to everybody. None of this is new, it has been widely published by every major media outlet since 2019, it's embarrassing how lazy or dumb people are, especially the ones who regularly bring the subject up in conversation — about 10,000 more times than I ever have cared to.

Great podcast.. my only complaint is how the large # of shorts or clips for each podcast episode make it so hard to find the actual full length videos and make it hard to tell whether a video is the full video or not. You can usually tell by the length of the video, but still… just a minor gripe.

43. I really appreciate what John Kiriakou did for our country. The first few interviews he did, he really cranked me off as being way too liberal for me. It didn’t negate the fact that he did what he did that I appreciate, but he came across as a liberal democrat hack. Because I do admire what he did, I was gritting my teeth and watched this and was pleasantly surprised. I’m just so tired of people being an apologist for the democrats, it’s like Kryptonite. I just don’t want to hear that B.S. anymore. But he put the hook in me when he said what he said in this interview about MSNBC. Now he’s on point. He’s being honest.
