Literally heard this song for the first time 2 days ago on Octane…I'm now obsessed with this band.
Hot take..
I'd actually like this song without any harsh vocals.
And I rarely ever say that, but it's by far my least favorite part of the new album.
This, Reverie, and the Sun Sleeps are my favorite tracks from these guys, and I also didn't really care much for Elysium or Shade Astray.
Honestly, I think it's probably because 90% of IA's songs sound VERY busy to me.
The EP had the same issue where it sounded like the drums were buried (or he's not doing anything to focus on) and the guitars were overly prominent.
When it came out, I listened to The Sun Sleeps constantly but the second the rest of the EP came out, it fell off my radar.
Which is the opposite of this.
While I didn't connect with the singles (I didn't hear this until after the album released), I wanted to check out the album regardless.
And yeah, while I'm glad so many were able to connect with this, I just wasn't able to.
This is a great song. Reverie is a fun jam for the radio rock crowd, and that's about it.
Everyone has a point in their past that this song takes them to. Heartbreaking 💔

I've been listening to this song on repeat for the last two days, I don't know what exactly it is but this is truly special
Maybe it's the very heavy guitar tone juxtaposed with the (mostly) clean voice, the haunting melodies or the combination of calm and intensity but this song really resonates with me
