0:00 Intro
0:05 A new transfer case was installed.
0:19 A used rear differential assembly was installed on the customer’s truck. The pinion bearing must have been loose for quite a while which eventually caused the pinion gear to break off and go through the differential cover.
0:29 Aftermarket lug nuts that the customer installed were too small for the wheels. The customer had 1 OEM lug nut installed per wheel as the pack of lug nuts he bought was not enough for each wheel. Luckily they had 1 OEM lug nut on each wheel or those would have definitely come off while they were driving. The technician said they drove 15 miles /24 kilometres to the shop as well.
0:42 The technician said: “Both rear body mounts were also rotted.”
0:57 Brake lines should NEVER be fixed with rubber/fuel hose. It will leak out the brake fluid and cause air to enter the system which will make the brake pedal very soft and cause your vehicle to have no brakes.
1:08 The starter was stolen off of this company vehicle. Wires were cut as well.
1:23 The customer used self-tappers to re-secure the heat shields so they don’t rattle but drilled into the fuel tank. The vehicle was a Mitsubishi Eclipse from what I was told.
1:32 The technician said the customer is still driving the vehicle like this to this day. It’s also a “show car” as it’s lowered, has big wheels, paint job as well. The customer said they will be apparently getting it repaired at another shop.
1:41 The technician said he has no clue what this vent pipe is doing bolted to the frame, and wanted to know if anybody knew why.
1:52 The shop drained out a good amount of automatic transmission fluid, started the vehicle, and checked the fluid level once the transmission was at operating temp.
2:03 Lower control arm was chained to the sub-frame. The CV axle also needed to be replaced. The technician said it had rust everywhere and the floor was rusted out as well.
2:13 The technician said: “The Panhard rod was rusted in half.”.
2:18 ” It needed ball joints, tires, full exhaust, brakes all around.”
2:28 “Customer got the vehicle stuck off-roading, but also states “the clutch pedal must be pressed to the floor to shift.”
2:36 I was also told this was not done by the customer but was done by the person who he bought the vehicle from recently. So unfortunately the customer got screwed over on this one. The technician said he is trying to get ahold of the old owner.
2:50 The customer’s socket grounded out on the positive battery post.
The technician said that luckily there was no damage to the PCM or anything else.
2:57 Shared by a viewer of a crazy engine paint job he saw on a vehicle at a car show.
3:07 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. They don't make vehicles like they used to. They don't last.
They don't make drivers like they used to. ANYBODY gets to drive. Why is this show so interesting?

  2. 2:50. I had a similar problem reinstalling my battery. I accidentally dropped the ratchet while tightening the negative cable to the post and it turns out the handle of the ratchet is the precise length in between the two post to create an arc (positive cable was connected first). The cost of this lesson: blown starter relay. I got off REALLY lucky on this one.

  3. Every time I watch this channel I am happy my country does two things:
    1) Mandatory yearly safety inspections.
    2) Anything brought to a repair shop that would not pass the safety inspections is not allowed to leave and if the owner does leave, the authorities need to be informed the vehicle is not road worthy.

  4. All brake lines have rubber hoses going to the calipers anyway and they're thinner. Those look like the same kind of rubber hoses that handle the pressure of hydraulic power steering. The only weak point would be the hose clamps and they're probably plenty strong enough. So even if it isn't right it isn't really bad.

  5. Ok Ill be honest, I dont like the TÜV here in Germany (mandatory technical car check every 2 years… and they are really harsh on allowing customizations) but when I see whats driving around in other countrys… well yeah maybe Ill get along with TÜV…

  6. please add some more footage and explanation because not everybody can instantly spot the issue at hand, or what caused the problem or what the problem was in the first place. There are at least 4 cars where i still do not know what I have seen there…
