0:00 Intro
0:05 They mentioned it was an early 2000s Chrysler (did not remember what model). But luckily it’s no longer on the road!
0:22 Somehow her husband got an old brake pad stuck behind the new rotor and backing plate. Not sure how he did it, but that was the cause of the noise.
0:34 “2016 Kia Soul. Video pretty much speaks for itself. Tho it was more of a “thumping” noise than a “clicking” noise but that’s what the customer said.”
0:48 “I believe that is a religious (Hindu) scarf tied to the steering wheel and the customer decided to wrap it around the clockspring to secure it, causing it to tangle on turns and create static. I actually untied it at first and did the diag to confirm the issue…then I re-tied it for the video lol. The customer just purchased it 300 km / 186 miles (3 weeks) ago from our used car dept and has decided to go ahead and replace the clockspring for tomorrow.”
1:00 “2020 Buick Enclave fixed after TAC technical assistance center sent special program code after waiting for 3 weeks for their engineering team to come up with a solution.”
1:12 The customer declined repairs to get any of those issues fixed. The rear shocks were also the stocks that came with the lift kit (as the front is only lifted), so they were bottomed out. The rear differential was low on gear oil as well.
1:38 Front brake rotors were worn down to the cooling vanes, worn out lower ball-joint and brake hoses pinched off. The technician did not mention the whole list of repairs that it needed but they got all of them done.
1:48 Not sure why the customer did not install a new wheel bearing when they installed new brakes. However, the worn-out wheel bearing on the passenger side destroyed the new brake rotors, caliper bracket, and brake caliper. They will need a new cv-axle and spindle now as well.
1:58 Shop refused to work on the truck as the customer had cut the frame on it. The technician said it needed a new exhaust manifold, gasket, and manifold studs.
2:12 One bolt for the upper control arm is missing and the other one is loose and almost all the way backed out. Seems to be a common issue on these Chevrolet Trailblazers from what the technician said.
2:25 Around 4 gallons/ 15.1 litres of coolant was added to the engine.
2:38 No extra info.
2:55 2008 GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.6L 230k km.
“The customer came in for no defrost, we found faulty mode and temp actuator. Then noticed a lack of airflow. The customer said they replaced the blower motor themself and it couldn’t be the issue. They ground off the housing to install the wrong fan used fencing wire to fix it and then taped off around it. Installing the proper fan and fixing damages to the HVAC case solved the issue.”
3:06 Tailgateception.
3:20 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. Sad that these maintenance issues come about so many damaged rusty broken vehicles that mechanics deal with and when found out some end up refusing to get fixed?

  2. …is a truck with a painted tailgate…is a truck with a painted tailgate…is a truck with a painted tailgate…is a truck with a painted tailgate…

  3. i wanna be able to say to someone theyre car is junk and then have them get upset at me for being rude. then watch them get into their death trap and drive off

  4. I had someone bring me a car that was overheating from time to time. When I opened the bonnet to check the issue, I found the radiator was bungee corded in place, the electric fan was removed, and the radiator shroud was completely missing. I told the owner the situation. She told me her husband took the fan off because the aftermarket radiator would not fit with the fan. The radiator shroud was not installed because it did not fit on the aftermarket radiator. Bungee cords held the radiator somewhat in place because the bolts did not line up for the radiator and the car. The wife told me that he bought an aftermarket Jeep radiator because he was told the Jeep radiator would fit his F-150 flawlessly. I told her the vehicle needed a new radiator, fan, shroud, and hardware with our professional installation. She became very angry and said, "My husband is a professional!" She grabbed the keys and took off. I am glad she did not want our service. I would hate to be the one to repair her vehicle. It would be nightmare for the mechanic, even if the job were node perfectly.

  5. I am a retired Mechanic I have seen a lot of this I always tell the customer you got a fine piece of Quality junk here I can fix the brakes but gotta replace the gas and brake lines it rotted out it has always been fun inspecting cars and trucks hehe.

  6. It sucks when people are in such a desperate situation that they have to try and make these repairs on their own without the proper tools or materials. Some of that work was quite interesting.

  7. When you have no money , you're f**k*d !
When you have no mechanical skills you're f**k*d !
When you have no money or mechanical skills you're on Just Rolled in

  8. Whoever owns the vehicle from the first clip takes the name snap-on too seriously.. actually probably giving them too much credit there's no way they used snap-on unless it was 🎵 snap on, snap off 🎶 it's a gunna snapper .. might be Drr-uhh-not-last or even crapsman, either way it's going to neakita a lot a-Skil cuz no real mechanic will Stand-ley around accepting this harbor-er of frate and would rather Milwalkee on out B4 suf-irwin industrial fools like these tools Bosch-damn it

  9. I sold this girl an Escort and a couple days later she called me from a gas station saying that it just quit. I asked her if she did any thing to the car, she said she checked the oil and it was a quart low so she put a quart of oil she found in her dads garage, it turned out to be a five quart jug and he put all of it in the engine on top of the other four quarts that were in the car. The whole car had to be junked.

  10. Makes me feel better about all the repairs I did to my various vehicles over the years. At the very least I know to check online to see if I’m unsure where various fluids are suppose to go.
