36 thoughts on “System Of A Down Without Serj? “I don’t think this is sustainable”

  1. Serj is a pos. He’s holding back his band mates and literally taking money out of their pockets. He’s self centered. This band can survive without him!

  2. It could totally work without the lead singer there are hundreds of bands lose members and gain new ones. And some of them are better than the old ones. To be honest this should have happened a decade ago. We need more system songs. I'm not going to have a defeated attitude like half of this fan base we should just enjoy what we have no bro. We need more.

  3. Honestly SOAD could move on without Serj.. they might not be the same but they could evolve into something new and interesting

  4. Honestly this is just a clown show to me at this point. Either break up permanently or go look for new lead singer. There are many, many talented singers out there that would be more than willing to be a part of System of a Down

  5. I saw these guys live so many years ago, they were hanging out in the crowd by the bar after their set because they opened the entire show. I've liked a lot of their music but honestly I never cared much for Serj's vocals. They make the wound work but I think the rest of the band could reform into a new band and make something new and better. It may not be new SOAD but that's not necessarily a bad thing either.

  6. Serj & Daron are SOAD. John should have just tried to start something of his own. He seems very bitter about the way things went down. Nobody stopped him from forming his own project. He’s talented enough to do it.

  7. Most bands should split after their youth ……
Very few transcend time constantly creating music that continues to evoke authentic emotion…….
    Then there is money……
Money poisons the delicious nectar along with that lightning in the bottle……
    Ahhh……
    Being young …..
    Ignorance is blissful………
Later often coming with a monstrous price….
Be true to thine self …..

  8. I would love to hear a different band with the remaining members, and an occasional system show. But it simply won't be system of a down without Serj. His voice and energy are too intertwined to be able to be replaced

  9. As much as I enjoy System..this just sounds like a side chick waiting for the man to leave his wife…you just keep waiting and never get what you want…
…I think Serj should have just told the members he was done and let them move on without him…I don’t think it’s right to have them wait in limbo but on the flip side they should have made the choice to move forward without Serj…

I know once a band has a new singer it’s never the same but that’s the risk the other members should have taken rather to feel like they wasted years waiting on Serj knowing he doesn’t want to go all in as a group anymore…

  10. I still find it funny that people are disappointed in bands like SOAD or RATM. These bands are frauds, pretended to be anti war, anti corporations, anti establishment ect just to prove they are anything but. hoping for great new music from these bands is like hoping that the Democrats or Republicans are gonna real fix things this time.. lol

I guess you guys still believe in Santa also

  11. All of the members of the Viagra Boys were in no name bands until they were 40, then by some magic things just click in a group of 7 of the right people. Comes to mind when he keeps saying "makes us system".

  12. A simple google search would tell you that the double album came out in 2005. so PLEASE do research before you try to inform an audience. Love the info but keep it tight butthole
