If you could introduce people to Van Halen with just one song, what would it be?
Diamond Dave hear me now bring your rock greatness to Savannah Georgia me and all my rowdy friends will be there
Eddie was THE best ever. I wouldn't want to see a tribute concert. I don't ever want to see anyone playing his music that isn't him.
In an eventual reunion, I wonder how the keyboard songs from the Hagar years would be played live
Dave is highly underrated as far as his lyrics are concerned
He's one of the great rock songwriters with Eddie of all time.
And the cradle will rock
Hot for teacher
Running with the devil
And on and on
"David Lee Roth Had A Lot To Say About Eddie Van Halen" — but not here in this video. Instead, all we hear is the announcer talking non-stop about Van Halen.
Tie between Runnin with the devil and mean street!! Thier 2 best tunes.
Not sure I would call DLR a musician. More of a showman, not sure he had any musicianship in him apart from making a spectacle of himself, positive or negative.
What Wolfgang is really saying is that EVERYONE wants to see a Van Halen tribute show with Michael Anthony on bass and not him 🤣
Why did we have to listen to your long winded version of it instead of hearing David’s account of it? More opinions by outsiders sounds like, waste of time again
David was a ood fit then. But ï gotto sat Sammy is a much better singer by far
Too bad roths voice is shot
the best bagel salesman ever
It was a true honor to have Eddie Van Halen's Best friend and High school pal ❤️ in my wedding. I will treasure these photos forever.
David and Eddie were giants without compare. RIP Eddie – hope you're still ripping it up!
I remember when the debut album was released. I was 8 my uncle Paul was 15 . He bought it. I just stared at the Van Halen display and wondered who are these guys ??? I mean how could I know ? It feels like yesterday and everytime we talk we laugh about it . Good times
Eruption, it hits you in the face like a baseball bat !
I saw them live in 79 when I had my 69 Mach 1 with a 351 Winsor and they were amazing! Funny I was inspired to play drums after seeing Montrose and Denny Caramassi opened the show with Rock Candy at a slower tempo and much louder with Sammy as vocals but If you weren't there and I mean really there you haven't a clue! My hot girlfriend who could have been a video vixen was so fired up watching Dave that night and all I can say is..Thank You Dave!!! lol
Humans will talking about EVH for a very long long time…as they should be.
David was the bigger person to forgive EVH for throwing him out of VH after DLR helped the band reach stardom. He's what made the band and who I remember the most. He's a lovely person.
