Yea, let's see them indict Billy Ray because someone had a heart attack because of his song Achy Breaky Heart….perhaps rap needs to quit focusing on criminal acts and often glorifying it in a way as to suggest it gives clout to someone. It's hard to find an equatable comparison with other 'music' when they don't focus on killing people, drugs, rape, etc, like so much rap does by default to the exclusion of any other topic…so how could the other actual music be used in a prosecutorial sense? I also don't think that the other artistic styles group together as much and promote actual criminals to success in their genre. I'm sure it happens, but it's been often seen as a minus when a rapper is from the suburbs instead of a legit gang member.

    It's not like crime novel authors haven't been arrested because they used their stories in their books to confirm that they were the actual murderer. Such as a Chinese author who was arrested for 4 cold cases based on his novels.

    They are entitled to the presumption of innocence, no matter what the evidence appears to be.
    They may ultimately be found guilty, but that's up to the jury not some annoying shock joc.

If you're gonna use lyrics as evidence, then you need to be able to prove that the lyrics are true depictions connected to a specific crime and that there's other sufficient evidence to back your claim. You cannot assume lyrics to be confessions. In all honesty, they're probably better off not including lyrics as evidence in a trial and stick to hard facts.

My thoughts on the rap thing: They should be used in court, actually a lot of gangster are caught due to admissions of crimes in their music, and some are caught when they upload rap videos on YouTube and they get the guns so close to the camera you can read the serial numbers and identify stolen guns. Unfortunately lots of rappers are currently active or formerly active criminals, like Takashi69, Chris Rock, (and in certain states) Snoop.

34. I go to a college close to Fairfield and I believe that the teacher actually graduated or at least attended here. Everyone on campus who knew her has only good things to say about her and she seemed like a wonderful person. That community will never be the same and they are still hurting Today.

39. Señora Graber was my favorite high school teacher, I still have photos with her at my 2014 graduation party. I was so incredibly heartbroken when I heard what happened. She was a mother and a mentor, and her life was taken over a high school letter grade. I'm so disgusted that these boys came from my town. She was a beautiful soul and did NOT grade harshly, either. She simply did not falsely inflate the grades of slackers like some other teachers did.
