3. I would have grabbed my receipt went into the store and ask for a refund. I've seen this. An old guy about 80 or 90 was on his way out of the bookstore and the alarm buzzed he said can I keep going they said no when he went back to the counter he asked for a refund of everything he purchased in that store. He asked if they needed a reason why he was returning the items. They wouldn't answer. The first store has a long line up of people returning purchases because the purchaser is accused of theft that will stop sooner or later.

4. I guess the moment she slight resisted and was smacking her hands together was "resisting"

5. She said I don't steal . Why don't you go watch the video to see if I'm guilty. The pig says I don't have access of the video . Doesn't make any sense to me that this average lady shopping knows more about the law than the pig . Smh

   What asking the 'arrestee' to stay?
   Seriously?!
   No probable cause here whatsoever.
   Heck, get the 'identifying employee', in my 'opinion.'

7. Customer asked for his SUPERVISOR.
   Must do so.

8. In front of children, no. Exactly, only when NECESSARY. Call backup, in this case, not necessary.

   Would demand employee make statement, hold accountable.
   The customer standing ground about receipt. Still, just show and go on with your day, and children.

10. The customer has a point re video surveillance. Does not have to show ID. Police, Security making mistake stating 'everyone who shops here is black.'
    Now threatening welfare of children, in front of children.

    Detain is the correct word officer should have applied.

Off duty cops sometimes work outside with many private enterprises or bussineses as a security guards on cops uniforms..i am also went on supermarket for looking or surveying something that unavailables in there..because that thing arent in there so i get out and go to another places for looking..i dont buy anything because things that we want arent availables there..we just exitting it..we have no receipt…nothing to show..when peoples start to accuses us stealing something the 1st thing is we want to go inside and demanded a proof same like this lady..i will do the same..we dont buy anything in there and we have no receipt to show..just want to go back inside and demanded cctv footages of stealing accusations..i always do like that and dont buy anything and exitting with no payment because there is things to buy that we are looking for..but lucky i am not been approaches and accused something like this before

12. This cop is completely mental without any empathy for his victim and has not one second thought what his criminal offense will do to this woman's life just because she didn't obey his unlawful demands

13. Ya know, she is acting like an insane person in front of young children. In my opinion it's reasonable to ask for and to show a receipt. so much is stolen every day, but selfish people like this "woman" just cause issues in the world. She deserved to be tased. She needs to grow up. How hard is it to show a receipt? Could've been over in seconds.

14. I've been told that, the reason why store employees won't go back and check their camera's when the customers that they are accusing of stealing, arguing, misconduct, or lying. Is cause they don't want to see/ be proven that they themselves were the one's in the wrong.

    Now looking at this and so many other's it actually makes sense.

18. The moment that she said “let’s go back into the shop and speak to the check out staff” the whole thing should have been over!

    The fact he refused to do that tells you he had no intentions of resolving this with anything but an arrest.

20. What a Dick cop. I offer this POS a legal opportunity to get in the cage with me and then try to do that to a man who will f that POS up stupid all legal. What a tru POS scum of the earth. Even if that lady was stealing, with all those kids, I would have helped her and checked the camera that that store has the ability to do. I'm in my 60's and I still offer that garbage a chance to see if its a man or a wife and child beater who runs from another man…that thing is such garbage and my skin Color is light…u fukin "C"!!!

25. I saw this on national news when it 1st happened. Right or wrong, why didn't she just show the receipt? Especially when she had her child in the car!!
