It's pot. Stop trying to tell me this is some gourmet/gourmand experience. Back in the mid-1970s, an (one) ounce of Nor-Cal seedless pot cost as much as 400 gallons of gasoline would cost you today. The black market is destroying the long-term survivability of legitimate, tax-paying farms. Old, hippy grandmothers in Mendo, Humboldt, Lake and Trinity counties could grow 5 plants and make enough money to survive. As long as nobody got greedy…..everything worked out fine. Some of the greedy did 6 to 20 years Federal prison time. Worse yet for the current grower/dealer…..a really hot White teenage girl, without any tats, would have sex with you just because you had the weed flow…..back in the 1970s.

While I do believe the taxes are absolutely a MAJOR part of the problem, it isn't the only one. I think a lot of these companies spend too much on fancy packaging, marketing, and expect huge profits from a plant. It IS a plant. It really DOESN'T cost that much to grow. And if you are growing it under the sun, it is VERY cheap to grow. Cannabis gets a bad wrap, but it seems that greed, more than anything has been the major killer of California's cannabis market. That goes for ALL the players in the market, NOT just the regulatory body. They ALL want to make WAY more money than they should EVER reasonably expect from growing and selling a plant.
I dont care if your all women ship dee do who cares? Just a stupid plug your NOT the only women in the industry youre not the first women in the industry you obviously havent heard of the nuns. All I care about is your product is it good is it clean does it taste good. Stop with the we are all women and start with we are all growers all of us women men old young. I moved to Humboldt 8 years ago from Spain and worked on farms and facilities. The way workers are treated is sad. I bought my weed at the dispensaries for the first 7 years and now finally I have a place to grow my own at home. It's so expensive and I spent so much money on good and terrible pesticide ridden cannabis. I'll never go back to working at industrial cannabis facilities
