Condolences…people have no idea what it’s like…when your mom dies (if they have a healthy relationship). Just listening to him speak of his mom gut punched me. My mom died 5 years ago and there isn’t a single day when I don’t miss her. The death of my mom took me out, but I keep going b/c my mom would say…pick yourself up…keep living and live well. Be kind…and take care of you for me (that was line).

Losing your parents is the biggest lost and gain in your life. I know it sounds weird I say gain, but when I lost my mother the determination in me to make her proud especially with us not really having a relationship propelled me in my career and truly pushed me to make her proud. Even my dad that I never met until he was on his death bed. I told him I will make you proud and whatever happened for you to not be in my life happened and you are human, but you will be proud.
