   Opioid withdrawal has resulted in death actually, in several cases.
   2 of the most known cases happened in county jails, and were the result of essentially jail staff not giving a shit about inmate health and safety. They couldn’t be bothered to do anything about an inmate who was in severe opioid withdrawal, could not keep anything down food or water wise, and had severe diarrhea, which exacerbated the dehydration from constant vomiting even more so. The ultimate cause of death was dehydration, but said dehydration was the result of the symptoms of severe protracted opioid withdrawal, so really, the cause of death is opioid withdrawal.

   I’ve been through both opioid and benzodiazepine withdrawal, both are hell. The benzo withdrawal had me in a state where I truly don’t even remember much of it, as I had no clue what was going on, and eventually with the help of a medical detox after having to go to the ER because of a seizure, it became a much smoother process. Now opioid withdrawal was different, I’ve done cold turkey kicks many times, sometimes on purpose when I’d get a wild streak and decide I wanted to get off dope once and for all and for good, and I needed that kick in the ass of withdrawal pain as punishment and reason to not go back, and then of course I’ve been through it as a result of not having any more dope or money. I did suboxone maintenance on and off for many years, but then fentanyl became my drug of choice after it became much more prevalent, and regular heroin essentially dried up and became much harder to find and much more expensive. The withdrawal from fentanyl is a different beast, it gets into your fat, unlike other opioids, and makes the process very harsh. I eventually got to the point where I had tried so many things to stay clean over the years, all had failed, and there was one more thing that I hadn’t tried because so many people had bad things to say about it, methadone.
   It took a little bit, but I eventually got stable to the point where I was no longer using fentanyl, and the methadone covered all the withdrawal symptoms, and the physician was always ok with upping my dose if I needed. I’m now almost 2 years clean of fentanyl and all other street drugs, I take my methadone every day as prescribed, and because of that success, I have the highest level of take home privileges, so I only need to go to the clinic once a month. If I wanted to get off of it, my counselor and physician would be happy to start the taper process and support me all the way, I really lucked out and found an amazing clinic with amazing people. I have my life back, and I haven’t achieved this length of abstinence from street drugs since I was 19, I’m now 30. And I owe it all to methadone! If you’re in a similar spot where you’ve tried so many things and can’t get clean from heroin/fentanyl, don’t listen to whoever knocks it just because THEY didn’t have success with it, seriously, it can change your life.

8. I belive that everyone should be able to grow a couple of weed plants, couple of opium poppy plants, and a coca bush. These would solve most basic at home medical needs and not be addictive. Smoke weed, poppy tea, and chewed coca, most people would be much calmer and happier.

14. I am epileptic and I use marijuana because the seizure meds are so hard. It’s been 9 years now and I’m still alive doctors told me I would die in a few years. Natural is the way to go for me but may not work for some.

24. I’ve been taking kratom 4 years now. Currently weaning off. I was having to take lot to feel it. I’m at the point I don’t even get nauseous from it. I started taking it for all the good reasons, I don’t like to high. I think it’s great for people that are constantly in pain and getting off opiates. But I wish I never started it. The withdrawals suck. If you’re not dealing with pain or coming off an opiate addiction stay away from it. If it gets abused it’ll ruin it for the people that do need it. If you use it for pain or coming off opiates make a tea out of it. And drink lots of water.

26. Kratom has been very good for my chronic pain. It also helps with my migranes from a tbi. I use it in its natural form. Off ALL narcotic Rx pain killers. NONE. THC has been a god send as well. People will say what they say. But I used to be precribed 80mg oxycontin and Fentynal patches for over 10yrs.

37. Dude doesn’t know what he’s talking about on multiple counts.

    First he says we have no idea why we make DMT in the body. False. It’s known to be protective to the brain against hypoxia. In other words, it allows the brain to survive for longer when it’s starved of oxygen.

    Second, he says modafinil operates only on orexin. False. It’s also a dopamine reuptake inhibitor which is why it lifts mood and is used off label for ADHD.

    Those two inaccuracies alone are enough to not trust this dude.

Problem with Studies on Meth is they have change the way precursors are manufactured so it’s not the same any more there no euphoric rush when shooting it and heat in your glandular areas so studies and even legality is compromised seeing it’s no where near the same product anymore so it’ll have to be re studied this must of been a global effort otherwise drug from another country would still do this very much this sucks I liked the old meth where 15mg would be plenty or even as pure as 5mg now not even 200 mg would do this rush
