27 thoughts on “How This Man Pulled Off a Billion-Dollar Solar Scam

  1. As people are pointing out in the comments, he had a legitimate start-up blueprint where he had the concept of a product people wanted. This story should be a case study in business schools. He could have hired real engineers and CFOs to make it work.

  2. His idea basically revolved around believing people being fearful of their solar panels being stolen so in order to reduce that risk he designed a mobile solar panel generator… which makes it even easier to steal. This was his breakthrough idea that so many gullible people fell for

  3. Jeff and Geico are not much different. Both are running on fumes of fame and brand image.

If Jeff can fool Geico. What is Geico's expertise, BS'ing their way out of problems 😏

  4. The companies did not care if the product worked; they made more money from the tax cuts. These people all pretend to be shocked when these obvious scams get exposed.

  5. No shortage of scams in the alternative energy sector — that's at the core of the agenda, fomenting relentless doom to justify picking winners and losers by government force.

  6. I for one don't feel sorry to any of these clown investors. They have millions if not billions of dollars that they can easily pay a couple of engineers to go and check the product out before shelling out millions of dollars. Hell even ask to take one for a test run for a few months.
