😂 gimme all of these and a cb radio
Things Im glad went out of style: wood paneling in mobile homes, crocheted vests, earth tone everything, women wearing those ugly rollers on their heads out in public, mumus, and those thick white coral choker necklaces.
AMC Pacer….Absolutely NOT!
When people ask me why I hate plaid, sideburns, hip huggers, bell bottoms, and the color green, I tell them the 1970s ruined those things for me forever.
We had some awful trends in clothing back then, the materials in clothing were scary. you wouldn't want to hold a lighter near them. Green shag carpet ugh
I remember when beer and soda cans were also made of steel. You couldn’t crush them like you could aluminum
Hey I wouldn't mind the chest hair coming back on men, it made them look manly. Nowadays men's bodies imo feel like dolphin skin.🤷🏽♀️
Had to laugh as the two floor patterns you showed, the second one was in the last place I lived in the kitchen. The bathroom there had carpet and when I pulled it up, that same kitchen pattern was under the carpet.
At least men had hair styles then. Today it's a rat nest beard and a shaved head. And those who do have hair don't know what a comb is. And I'll never understand the 3-day growth of whiskers, I think it just makes a guy look dirty and careless.
Great 😊
I still have my waterbed from the mid 80s. I never had huge problems with them. I'm on mattress 3 or 4 but that's good for nearly 40 years old.
We have a friend who is a quad amputee and says their water bed is the only comfortable place to sleep.
The Mustang got big in 1971/72/73 and got small in 1974
I use to have a studded belt back then as a kid. I like disco but disco duck seems like a joke that killed the whole genre. I wonder what the creator thought of their impact of destroying the genre. I've seen a few water beds before usually bad condition or broken. I would never want one but It's interesting. Cool video. ^_^
Studded belts were a big thing in the 80s and 90s too in the hard rock and metal scene. If you ask me, they never really left.
Turtleneck bodysuits. They made your top flow perfectly into your pants but tended to be too short in the crotch with big snaps and going to the bathroom could turn into a nightmare.
“my grave…can you dig it?”

All I remember from the '70s was that there was a lot of chocolate brown, from intererior decorations to cars.
A knitted sweater/jumper with no sleeves and a belt. What the heck was that.
In my opinion plaid/tartan doesn't really look right unless you're Scottish, like the Bay City Rollers.
I was born in 1974 so i cant really remember this stuff too well. So these style trends are really weird looking back.
Your channel is fabulous! Being a teen in the 70's I can remember all of these trends. Some were "far out" and some were utterly ugly. But the 70's was a period of trends of all kinds. I would go back to that decade If I could and stay there!
Those vans were so awesome! I actually just saw one at my local Walmart. 🚙 My parents had a water bed.
Bwahaha😹 Thanks for the memories and laughs😂 The lumberjack joke killed me🤣🪚🪵 Because granola is awesome!😂
Oh, how I MISS my waterbed!!!
The pop tab Jaws comment…love it! ❤
I'll take does trends back and actually go back to the 70's because people today all think they are cool, but most are fake as hell in every way.
I have to disagree with some of what he said. We never raked our shag carpet (neither did anyone else I knew) & it looked fine. Also, I never knew of anyone popping their waterbed. The waterbed was actually much better on the back (IMHO) because the water supported you & contoured to your body unlike a flat mattress.
… Aaand punk rockers didn't look like that in the 70s. Studded black leather and spikes didn't really come up strong until around 1981-82. (Thanks GBH!)
