Here's two sus names to add to the list and unsurprisingly, its from the Tobacco OGs themselves:
– PMI Connects: If you looked at those first two letters and the first thing to pop up in your mind was "Phillip Morris", looks like your bullshit detector is working well. Remember Mission Winnow? This is basically the newest name for Phillip Morris International to skirt around the Tobacco Sponsor ban, even going so much as to claim that It "doesn't promote or advertise any PMI tobacco or E-cig products or brands", This is from the same company that first attempted skirting around the ban in F1 by using the Barcode branding on the F1 team (as if that was gonna help despite still supporting a team called "Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro"). These folks are determined.
– British American Tobacco: Not so much due to being a Tobacco company alone, but just due to the really messed way they themselves are still trying to sell their products. Sure "Vuse" is their current brand but behind all that, it was found that the company back in 2011 actively made efforts to market and sell its products in unstable, deeply impoverished nations and conflict zones (With one particular example was from leaked PowerPoint presentations that included details of strategies to continue selling black-market cigarettes "in black paper bags" in parts of Somalia controlled by the fundamentalist Islamic militant group Al-Shabaab). Then there was the finding that in 2021 that BAT cigarettes had helped finance jihadist and separatist groups in northern Mali as well as most recently in April 2023 one of their subsidiaries admitting that it had sold cigarettes to North Korea, a direct violation of the existing sanctions imposed by the US against North Korea.
Whatever happened to Bridgeport CNC machines?
I'll only be convinced of the alleged millions by seeing a detailed receipt.
splunk a pretty standard brand bro lol used it at multiuple jobs
Msc is one of the biggest shipping company worldwide – it's at the same level as DHL when it comes to shipping containers. Sure, they will have their own scandals but it doesn't really make it sketchy.
And Siemens is a well-established multinational corporate, so of course the eventual scandal might come out.
Nice vid tho, very entertaining.
IDK why you kept highlighting Splunk, but its a fairly well-known and non-sketchy company in software, I believe.
Splunk? Splunk is the least sketchy brand I can think of, even Apple uses loop holes to not pay taxes Splunk is not that sketchy.
What about Aramco? They're responsible for 4.38% of all CO2 emissions in the world.
You are missing klipsch for McLaren!
They may as well have called it “speed nigga”
Not to hate… but Jumbo is a huge Dutch supermarket. How the fuck do you rank them middle?
A ot of these brands are a bit more reliable than the brand Nolan supports lol and why is Jumbo here 😂😂😂😂
So that's why i haven't seen Racing Team Neatherlands in WEC this year. Frits Vann Eerd was also the money behind that team too in LMP2.. That's unfortunate.
You're gonna love Moneytron… a supposed supercomputer that could predict the stock market… ofcourse it was all a big hoax.
Jumbo is an supermarket chain in the Netherlands
my man put haas above ftx, lol
*McLaren
I'm gonna be honest I thought MSC was a Michael/Mick schumacher thing
Stake is one of the most reprehensible gambling sites out there.
Donut media, who works in "tech" sector by delivering contents through one of the biggest social media platform is unfamiliar with so many obvious technology company producst / services? Splunk? Sprinklr is basically a tool to exploit social media as marketing tool.
MSC cruises has been there all along, what's so weird about their ships being used to smuggle narcotics? WalMart just settled $3.1 billion last November 2022 to resolve thousands of lawsuits over its pharmacies’ roles in the opioid crisis.
Velocity Black being a rich-people only club, is I don't know, more like "I don't care" kind of shady stuff since people who got scammed are people who can afford it. Just like that Bernie Madoff and Charles Ponzi builds their exclusive network club.
Jumbo is basically Dutch supermarket – as weird as Kroger in the US. Just because Albert Heijn and WalMart are the biggest chain in each countries, it doesn't mean others are "sketchy".
Siemens basically make a lot of things, electronic panels mostly… besides a lot of other things from trains to communication devices. Their stuff can end up anywhere, including Iran. It is not as weird as Kim Jong-un riding Mercedes-Benz or ISIS fighters riding Toyota pickups or Corolla as suicide bomb car.
Just because names don't appear in your nearby shopping mall, it doesn't mean it is weird – unless you mean by narrow American point of view. Your groceries supplier are probably tied to conspiracy-laden names like Monsanto, Syngenta, and then Bayer – probably you never heard ADM or Louis Dreyfuss – but these guys move stuff around, like how you get bananas during winter from somewhere. How do you get cheap oil? Yes, some willing British traders bought raw oil from Libyan tribal war lords – you probably filled your gas tanks and contribute more to their act of terror. Congrats!
And of course, everything is tied to war. Google is defense contractor as well, if the US drone accidentally kills baby, your platform of choice here isn't exactly clean either. Microsoft too. I think it is hypocritical if you easily forgets that oil companies did a lot of sketchy things when they cleared the lands like Niger Delta or build pipelines through Native Reservation area, and so on.
Do you use DJI drones for shots? Congrats! They are used by both Ukraine and Russia. That popular video of drones dropping grenades into Russian dugouts is DJI Mavic 2. Boeing makes bombs too. It is important that when you dig things, you don't just half-arsed it. You'll realise that the world is far more fucked up than you think it already is.
Sketchy companies are definitely more entertaining on a small scale. However, no mention of Petronas, who had cases against them for war crimes… any big oil Fortune 500 company is “clean” on the books but actually terrible.
What about stake my man?
so haas cnc machines used to make guns for war (ukraine, oman etc.) thats fine; but if russia uses the same machines in the same mannor its a problem
Most of these are well known just clever tactics to keep them involved 😅
That ranking was made up just to have one. I'm sorry, but this is complete BS
If you work in Tech, everybody knows Splunk
Plizz nes project nissan Almera 2007 spor
A lot of US companies sell to the 'other side' during wars that the US are involved in directly or indirectly.
Haas should be cut a break. Remember the failed exit of Afghanistan by the guy called Joey Biden? Well our military equipment was just handed over to the Islamic terrorist upon our exit.
Jumbo is just a ordinary grocerystore. Except the boss frits van Eerd did some sketchy things. So its not jumbo but more the relationship between max and frits that made it a bit sketchy. Frits didn't earn that much from jumbo as a company. He earned more money (not fare) that he made of working by Jumbo. (i'm from the netherlands, so that was in the news).
Forgot to mention the fact that FTX was used as money laundering scheme for alot of people in congress
In 1994, the Pacific team got a bery… odd sponsorhip. It was a cigarette brand, and it was called "Death Cigarets", and it had skull and bones on it's logo. And it's first race where he was shown was… Imola. Yeah. THAT RACE!
Suffice to know that they didn't return. Once was enough!
Siemens on the board? They have one of if not the biggest 3d cad modeling software used in the automotive industry on top of several other great tools for engineers, absolutely massive company in motorsports. Haas had a Russian driver and title sponsor right before the Ukraine conflict, so they definitely sold them machines, but that’s just part of being a business.
It's cigarettes. It's always cigarettes. Tobacco built F1, they will not go quietly.
