19. trying to justify underpaying UFC fighters by saying Olympic athletes are even worse off makes absolutely no sense. The UFC actively makes billions off the backs of their fighters, and Ronda acts like it's absurd to give them adequate pay and take care of their long term medical expenses. Typical American all-or-nothing blackmail bullshit.
    This is in the same country where every other professional athlete has a union and gets paid a minimum to play, regardless of outcome.
    Compare your avg entry level UFC fighter to an entry level athlete in any other of the major pro sports in the US and it's absurd how badly the UFC fighter has it. They have no choice but to treat it like an Olympic sport where you make nothing, and look for other revenue streams just to support their fight camps.
    Only a small fraction of the roster get these massive sponsorship deals and big money fights like Ronda did. And a LOT of fighters end up with only a few grand after performing on cards that earn the company millions in revenue. And those are typically the ones who get their asses kicked and need medical care.
    I know the UFC are good at taking care of their bread and butter fighters – the main draws. But every other professional sport has higher standards for player development than the UFC, and has a player's union to at least give them a seat at the table.
    Ronda was delusional about her striking and got knocked tf out. She's delusional about this too.

29. The whataboutism from Ronda when they are discussing the UFC's treatment of their fighters is unbearable. Maybe other organisations should be doing more. But that doesn't mean that companies shouldn't be doing the right thing. Be a trailblazer. Don't wait for someone else to do it and maybe follow suit. She's definitely not the best person to ask given how much she's benefited from UFC

34. Basketball players get their own shoe sponsors. Football the same, baseball get glove, mit, and padding sponsors, and they get paid millions also not to mention they are team sports. Fighters make the biggest part of their living off sponsors and don’t make millions in a billion dollar organization
