Watch my appearance on how AI Slop is Destroying Soccer and the World Cup: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-6vLiTSp_c

YouTube is going through a bit of a rough patch when it comes to dealing with AI. From a flood of low-effort videos, scams and theft to overzealous banning and AI creator tools that make little sense. It’s sad to see one of the best platforms go through such a transformation, but the good news is that something is finally being done about it. In this episode we explore.

  1. Not gonna lie—if I hadn’t followed ColdFusion for years, I’d probably assume this channel was AI-generated too. 😂

“Work hard until people think it’s done by AI.”

    Well done, Togogo! 👏

  2. Is it just me or am I the only one that doesn't get AI videos because I'm avoiding them like the plague. I just get a guy who dubs over his videos with AI once in a while. But I dig that. Not everybody has a pleasant voice.

  3. Thank you for posting original contents time and time again! Keep up the good work. We need a Ai victims page to collectively voice the injustice ban/demonetise of human creators.

  4. I think if you clone your own voice then use AI to read your own scripts it's fine.
To be fair, I thought and still suspect this is what you do in your vids; there is a marked difference in how you talk in the vids to how you speak at the end and the way you pronounced 'deluge' early in the vid was suspicious.
But as I say, I don't think AI clone of your own voice is a bad thing at all.

  5. Honestly I really hope this will make Nebula grow with people running away from YouTube. Which begs the question – can I find your videos on Nebula? I'd happily trade YT subscription for a service that guarantees quality and no slop

  6. Daaaaamnnn remember when "artificial engagement" was the excuse we were given for not being able to say sub four sub??

Now YouTube is allowing AI, no shame not a hint of irony. 💀

  7. Is it sloppy or Capitalism, or sloppy Capitalism? With the future of work in question why are we questioning what people do to put food on the table? It's just ironic that YouTube is calling out people for being resourceful…

  8. to be honest, people who obsessively view AI slop are to be blamed. if everyone collectively hated on AI slop and the demand for it remained low, this would never have happened. the only reason why its a plague infected youtube is because people WANT it.

  9. "AI Slop" growth AND people getting accustomed to it puts into perspective the REASON why corporations and governments are rushing to build more and more data centers, doesnt it.. I bet when they hit a critical mass in people hooked on AI shit, that's when ALL "free" AI tools will dissapear overnight..

  10. The video with Dagogo’s cloned voice is not authentic in the slightest. The script was lazy and unpolished, not the great product we’ve come to know Cold Fusion to be.

  11. out of all the AI channels you have selected Indian channel and it shows your racism towards Indian people. You are one of the westerners thinking India is doing low quality work and this showcasing it wherever you get a chance . Why are you not showing any Chinese or American AI channel? Also just prompt and enter will not make any video. It also needs careful attention and work. All AI is doing democratization of video creation and for your kind of videos AI is more than enough.

  12. One potential solution on the user end is to have a user preference slider where users can decide what % of AI-labelled content they are happy to consume. Getting the labelling right is the hard part.

  13. To counter AI slop on YouTube use their own AI filtering tools against it look for the three dotted bubble near the video thumbnail either you select "not interested" or "don't recommend channel"

  14. Some of the many reasons why educators who espouse AI get booed offstage. Students who actually want to learn – and want a job – are sick of the regurgitation.

  15. Human created content every day of the week. If there is just a voice talking over generic animation I quit watching. A video need to have sort of indication that a human is behind the creation.
